I like to hear the music, the music of today
And do the latest dances in a crazy way.
But when it comes to Christmas, I put away the new
And celebrate the holiday the way we used to do.
Let's have an old fashioned Christmas
Hang our stockings on the fireplace, put the presents
'neath the tree
Get together all the family, just like it used to be.
Now I can take the city and the sandy shore
Where ther's plenty of sunshine, now who could
ask for more.
But when I think of Christmas, and the falling snow'
To the fun filled mountains is where I want to go.
Well winter and it's magic are upon us once again
Bringing all those memories of fun times way back when.
Well, I'm not a dreamer, but I really have to say
They really don't make Christmas' like the ones of yesterday.
