Chapter One
“Look at this!” I cried. I slapped a test paper on the cafeteria table. My best friend Lisa glanced at it.
“Damn…a D!” she cried.
“Em…what happened?” she asked me as she tore a bag of chips opened.
“Robert,” I growled, naming the cute guy who sits behind me “Is borrowing my notes everyday and NOT returning them!!”
“Tsk…I told you he was no good,” she said
I grunted
“You weren’t like this when you went out with Brian,” she observed
“I…hate…Brian…” I said naming my ex boy friend.
“Girl…do not,” she paused “Do not tell me that you hate Brian Thomas Littrell of the Backstreet Boys, that…is just impossible.”
“Lisa…I was in love with him and he just breaks off our relationship like that. I can’t find myself to forgive him. After we broke up he hasn’t written once or even called once.” Tears rolled down my eyes as I remembered how sweet Brian was.
Lisa shook her head “Brian has a reputation for being a sweetie…and he IS one! He had to had some reason to break up with you, You and I both know how sweet he is!” Lisa had met Brian a couple of times before.
“Psh…that was more than a month,” I waved my hand at her “I’m over him!”
“Yeah…sure” Lisa got up “I’m going back to the house,” Lisa and I belonged to a sorority. “You coming?”
“Yeah…in a while,” I sipped my milk absently
Lisa walked away humming the tune to ‘I want it that way’ I sighed.
