Chapter Six

“Going to the bathroom,” I whispered to Lisa, everyone was sleeping and I had to use the restroom really bad. She nodded and waved me away with her hand.

I checked the bathroom at the end of the plane and both were occupied. I really needed to go so I went to the front to the bathrooms near the first class section. I was going to pull apart the curtains that led me to first class but a security guard stopped me.

“Ma’am…I’m afraid this portion of the plane is off limits,”

“I just need to use the bathroom,” I moaned

“Then I suggest you use the one at the end,”

“What’s so important that you don’t want me to see?” I demanded.

“Our passengers are requesting that there be no disturbance,” he told me.

“Screw that….” I mumbled and shoved past him.

He didn’t make much of an effort to stop me seeing as if he did try then it would probably cause chaos. So he didn’t. I looked around and sucked my breath. Kevin, Nick, AJ, Brian and Howie were there. Most of them were asleep. I closed my eyes…then I remembered Nick had told me that they were going to go to LA to visit his parents. I sighed. “Just great,” I muttered as I stepped into the bathroom.

Nick woke up from his sleep and yawned. He needed to use the restroom so he got up. He passed by the pilot and saw that he and the co-pilot were arguing about something. “You forgot to accelerate??” the Pilot shouted. The co-pilot shook his head and fumbled with some more buttons. Nick shrugged and opened the doors to one of the bathrooms.

“Oh my gosh!” I gasped as Nick came into the bathroom. I was washing my hands. Nick saw me and gave me a questioning look

“What are you doing here?” He cried

“Long story.” I pushed past him and proceeded to leave but Nick stopped me. He locked the door.

“Emily,” he began, he pushed his hair out of his face “I want to know what happened earlier with you and me,”

“People make mistakes,” I mumbled and tried to unlock the door. It just wouldn’t work.

He smiled. “You’re stuck,” he said. The goddamn bathroom was so small I was practically glued next to him. I could feel his warm body against mine. I leaned against it. It felt so good. I breathed heavily, Brian’s body felt so good.

I closed my eyes and leaned against the door. He pressed his lips against mine and kissed me tenderly stroking my hair at the same time. I kissed him back, moving my arms up underneath his shirt and up his back, letting them explore his skin. I could feel him tighten up. He put his hands underneath my shirt and tenderly stroked me.

He then moved upward to near my chest area and moved his hands up and down leaving tingles everywhere.

“Oooh…Brian that feels good,” I moaned

We stopped kissing abruptly. I looked into his blue eyes.

“You called me Brian,” Nick said not looking into my eyes.

“Nick…” tears rolled down my cheeks “It’s hurts so much, I can’t do this, I miss Brian so much…” I trailed off. Nick looked at me so sadly I wanted to grab him and kiss him all over again.

“Emily…I can see that you and Brian were meant to be…I’m sorry for interfering,” Nick tried to smile. A lock of his beautiful blonde hair hung over his eyes.

“Nick…you’re the best, thank you for understanding me,” I kissed his cheek “Thank you,” I whispered into his ears

Nick hugged me. I hugged him back tightly and he left the bathroom. I still stayed. I sat on the (closed) toilet seat and tried to think of what happened. I told him that I missed Brian? I did miss Brian, but I found it impossible to love him again. My anger grew as I thought of him making out at the Pizza Bowl. I turned a deep shade of red and starting cursing at no one in particular.

Later On…

Brian stood up to let Nick, who came form the bathroom to sit down again. Nick looked particularly sad. Nick just closed his eyes and turned towards the window. Brian shrugged and got up to go to the bathroom.

“WHY DOESN’T THIS GODDAMN DOOR EVER LOCK?” I shouted as to my surprise Brian entered.

“EMILY!” he cried.

“Just about to leave,” I said pushing past him. Brian pulled my arm back in. Not again…

“Emily…please…” Brian started.

I tried to open the door. It wouldn’t budge. “God dammit…” I whispered. Kicking it lightly.

“Emily…I know you aren’t willing to forgive me just yet but please…hear me out,” Brian started, his body was next to mine as well. The bathroom was so SMALL!!!! I could smell his cologne, the same one he wore everyday. Ralph Lauren. I breathed it in. I remember how much I used to love that smell.

I didn’t say anything and I just listened. He continued

“I miss you…You still don’t really understand why we broke up. I just wanted to tell you. It’s all for the best,” Brian said. Like I haven’t heard that one before

“I suppose that the blonde girl you were making out with is better than me, did you break up with me because it was for the best? Or because we didn’t make out enough behind the Pizza Bowl?” I asked him sarcastically

“Kelly?” Brian asked

“I couldn’t care less what her goddamn name is,” I cried out

“Well here’s a name you’d know, how about Nick?” Brian asked me raising an eyebrow.

“What about Nick?” I asked

“Don’t tell me that you weren’t kissing him at the airport earlier,” Brian cried

“Leave Nick out of this! At least he has the decency to call once in awhile. And gosh…you know what? He actually cares about me!” I shouted, desperately trying to open the bathroom door.

“Ladies and gentlemen…please return to your seats. This is an urgent emergency, we are having trouble with our pilots and would like you to please review the safety manual in front of you,” A female voice said over the microphones.

I leaned against the door and cried. Brian desperately tried kicking it.
