Chapter Fifteen

“EMILY!!” Brian woke up sweaty and cold at the same time “I’m right here Brian,” I said sleepily as Brian woke up from his nightmare.

“Sorry…” Brian mumbled “I had this nightmare…” he said closing his eyes again. Emily didn’t know that what he dreamt was the true story of the saddest moment in his life. She covered him in his blanket and tried to get back to sleep.



“NICK!!! Look! Kevin is stripping on the coffee table!!” AJ screamed into Nick’s ear. They were eating at Nick’s house. Nick opened his eyes. Kevin was sitting right next to him with a smile on his face.

“Very funny,” Nick mumbled.

“What’s wrong?” Howie asked from across the table.

“Idiots…” Lisa mumbled, she was sitting next to Kevin.

“What?” All four Backstreet Boys turned to look at her. Even Nick had a curious look on his face

“Don’t you get it? He misses Brian and Emily! You can’t ignore the fact that they’re gone!” Lisa cried

“We still miss them Lis…we just want to not talk about it…” Kevin said

Lisa’s eyes twitched at Kevin, the guy she had been crushing on for over a year.

“Of course we miss them! Not talking about it makes it worse! Don’t tell me that you aren’t thinking about them right now in your minds!’ Lisa said

Nick nodded “She’s right…” he said.

Howie agreed “Maybe …but the police haven’t contacted us yet…” he said

“Soon…” Lisa said “I know Em is still out there somewhere…and hopefully Brian is with her. I know it!” Lisa cried. Nick smiled

“You go girl!” AJ said in a girl’s voice. Lisa made a peace sign “Girl power!” She said in a British accent. For the first time, Nick laughed a genuine laugh.
