Chapter Eighteen

I looked up at the sky. There was a helicopter above us. I wanted to scream and hug and kiss Brian. Instead I unzipped the tent to see Brian huddled up. He smiled when he saw me, hoping that I was ready to forgive him I suppose.

"Lookie here Brian…someone to rescue you from your misery of seeing me…someone to bring you back to your career," I said. Brian ran past me and saw the helicopter. This was an appropriate time for us to hug and kiss as friends. Instead, Brian grabbed the flares and lighted them.

The helicopter came closer into view. I saw Nick and Lisa and AJ, my three treasures. I started crying. Lisa was the first one to jump out.

"EM!" She shrieked. We cried and hugged each other. I caught a glimpse of Nick and Brian hugging. AJ stood in the middle. I couldn't stand it. I grabbed AJ and kissed him hard on the cheek. I left a red mark. AJ laughed and hugged me hard.

"My panda," he said. "It's good to have you back,"

"Thank you AJ…I missed you," I whispered. AJ kissed me on the cheek and let me go. Nick was staring at me. Nick, Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, He had his blonde hair slightly messed up and his blue eyes…oh my gosh. His blue eyes pierced themselves into my own. His lips were begging to be kissed.

I grabbed Nick and Nick laughed. When he let me go. He kissed me. Tenderly. Gently. I could feel Brian's eyes on me but I didn't care. I kissed him back. Wanting more and more. He let me go and took my hand. I took his hand and we stepped into the helicopter.

AJ put his arm around me and we talked the whole way back. Nick held my hand the whole way and Lisa tried to make conversation with Brian who seemed really happy for a man who had just broken up with someone he claimed to "love"



At The Airport:

I hugged Jane and thanked her for all she did

"I'm so glad that you're safe honey…take care," she said

I stepped onto the plane with Lisa.

"Em…?" Lisa asked

"Yeah?" I looked at her

"What happened while you were with Brian?" she asked

I froze. I just wasn't ready to tell her yet.

"Can I take a nap first?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded. I closed my eyes.

"Hey Brian?" I asked him slightly biting my lip

"WHAT?" Brian rose from the water where he was floating on an innertube.

"Can you get me a lemonade?" I asked him laughing. He thought my request was really urgent the way his eyes focused on me so intently.

He got out of the water "Yes ma'am," he said

I sat down on the lawn chair and waited.

I felt a cold rush as Brian poured the lemonade all over me. I shrieked and ran around the pool area chasing Brian. Brian jumped into the water and I jumped along with him. Soon we were both out of breath and laughing.

"You will pay Littrell," I said. Brian got out of the water

"Nuh uh!!" he said sticking out his tongue.

I sat on a lawn chair and sulked. " I was thirsty," I muttered.

Brian sat on top of me and kissed me "Still thirsty?" he asked

I kissed him back and nodded stubbornly. Brian kissed harder "Still?" he asked

I pouted and crossed my arms. He laid down on top of me and kissed me for at least 20 seconds.

"Still?" He asked

I nodded and didn't dare look at him. I knew we would both crack

He kissed me hard then. Both of us on the lawn chair. Soon we were just making out heavily until the lawn chair broke and we fell to the ground.

"Still thirsty," I said. Brian laughed and brushed the strands of my wet hair out of my face. He looked into my eyes

"I love you Emily," he whispered. I gasped. I never heard Brian say that to me before. I smiled

"I love you too," I smiled. Brian kissed me lightly.

"Don't ever leave me," I said

Brian kissed my nose "Never," he said
