Chapter Twenty Nine
“Ow Shit!!!” Brian cried out as he fell to the ground while playing basketball.
“Brian!” Emily kneeled down next to him.
“This hurts like hell!!” Brian cried pointing to his knee.
Emily examined his knee
“It’s not that bad,” she said.
“Damn this!! HURRY UP and get a bandage!!” Brian cried wincing. He immediately regretted what he said. Emily didn’t deserve his rudeness. Emily got up. She came back with a towel, and a bandage. She wiped his knee carefully with the towel and tried not to hurt him. She then carefully placed the bandage on his knee
She smiled at him and kissed it.
“What was that for?” Brian asked still slightly irritated.
“For being my best friend…” Emily said smiling. She stuck her pinky out at him. Brian laughed, He remembered that day awhile ago when they were kids and Emily fell.
“I don’t deserve you,” Emily said quietly.
“You don’t,” Brian said
Emily looked at him
“You deserve more,” Brian said “For tolerating my asshole behavior…thank you,” Emily kissed him on the nose
“Yup yup!” she said in a kiddy voice and got up and ran. Brian ran after her.
Brian woke up. He was still sitting at his desk. He was sweating really bad.
“Best friends forever…” he muttered. He continued writing.
At Jive Records
“All right guys…charity concert,” their manager said slapping down a document on the table
It was passed around. Basically. The “Heart to Heart” foundation, one of the sponsors for the Backstreet Boys wanted to hold a charity contest for their upcoming Rally of the “Heart to Heart” foundation. Brian was the first to agree
“For a good cause isn’t it?” he asked
“Haven’t been on stage for awhile,” AJ added
“Miss my wives,” Nick said smiliny smugly. Kevin slapped him upside the head, They all laughed
“Deal…” Howie said.
“Emillyyyy….” Lisa sang as she walked into my room
“Whhhaaattt?” I replied
“The Backstreet Boys are having a charity concert next Monday!” She cried
“So?” I asked
“I thought you were over Brian!” Lisa cried.
“I am…”
“Let’s go then…let’s go have some fun!” She cried. I shrugged and then I saw Lisa making a puppy dog face at me
“OK!!” I screamed. She jumped back, surprised. She then laughed and pumped her fist in the air
“Kevin!!” She shrieked loudly. I laughed.
This was going to be fun. I was over Brian. If I did meet him. I would say hi and be casual with him. We could still be friends after all. Right?”
