Chapter 42

The last week of the tour went by quickly. The guys were extremely exhausted and ready to go home. But they put all their effort and energy into each show, making each one the best. I watched them wave good bye to their last crowd of the year. Then they got off stage and went to their dressing room. They did their last meet and greet and then got on the bus.

"Ready to go home?" Andy asked.

"Yes," came the response from eveyone.

"So what's eveyone doing for the holidays and New Year?" I asked.

"Well for New Year's we're having a party at my house," Nick said. "And for Christmas I'll be with my family and Tina."

"I'm going to visit my family and Lauren's coming with me," Howie said.

"I'm going back to Lexington to be with Ashley and my parents," Brian said.

"Yeah, I'm spending it with my family and Stacey's going to move in," A.J. said.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot about her graduation. It's in a week," I said.

"What are you doing, cuz?" Brian asked.

"Janel and I are just staying home, right?" he said while looking at me.

"Yep, sounds good to me," I said.

Andy stopped at eveyone's house dropping them off. They told eveyone good bye and gathered their luggage. The guys and I all bought Andy a present for being such a great bus driver.

Kevin and I were the last ones to be dropped off.

We walked up to Kevin's gorgeous house. He opened the door and we walked in. He flipped on the lights revealing the spacious house. There was a staircase on the left as you walked in. On the right was his front room. Then as we walked back we came to his kitchen. It was so big and it had a window to see the backyard. We walked into his living room and he had a huge couch and a big screen tv in there. He also had a fireplace.

Then he showed me the backyard. He had trees planted everywhere. In the middle he had a huge swimming pool. And in the back tucked away in a corner he had his little garden. Then he took me upstairs. He had his room with his piano and desk for writing songs. Then he had his room that he could work out in and a guestroom. We walked back down the hallway to his room. He had a huge bed in the middle of the room. Against his wall he had a chest of drawers with pictures of his family on top. In front of his bed he had a fireplace.

"Wow! This place is gorgeous Kevin," I said as I continued to look around his room.

"Do you like it?" he asked.

"Yes, I love it," I said.

"Well then, why don't you move in with me?" Kevin asked as he sat down on the bed.

"What?" I asked.

"Move in with me," Kevin said as I sat down next to him. "You'll be living with me for the rest of this month. Why not make it premanent? Unless you don't want to be with me?"

"Of course I want to be with you," I said as I kissed him. "Yes, I'll move in with you."

"Good," Kevin said as he pulled me back to lay down on the bed with him. "We can pick up your things when we go to Stacey's graduation."

"Yeah, that's a good idea. And while we're there I can talk to Rick," I said.

"What about your job?" he questioned.

"I'll find a new one here," I said.

"Are you sure you want to leave your job? And what about Rick?" he asked.

"Yes, leaving my job is not a big deal as long as I'm with you. And Rick and I are just really good friends. Our friendship will last, I'm sure of it," I said.

"I never knew you and Rick dated," Kevin said.

"Yeah, about four years ago," I said.

"What happened? Why did you break up?" Kevin asked curiously.

"Well, it just didn't work out. I mean he's a really nice guy and he treated me well, but I wasn't ready to be in a relationship. And he was or is my boss, so it didn't look too good," I said.

"Oh," Kevin said.

"Why? Was it bothering you?" I asked.

"No, I was just wondering," Kevin said.

"Well don't. I'm with you," I said.

"I know," Kevin said as he held me.

We just laid there for a while in silence. We held each other tightly. Then Kevin's stomach growled.

"Hungry?" I asked.

"Yeah, a little bit," he said.

"How about we just order a pizza? It's getting late," I said.

"Yeah, that sounds good," he said.

Then both of us sat up. He grabbed my hand and led me downstairs. We walked into the kitchen and he got the number. Then he handed it to me.

"Will you order?" he asked.

"Sure," I said. "What do you want on it?"

"Whatever you want is fine with me," Kevin said.

"Okay," I said as I picked up the phone.

Kevin walked out into is living room. He sat down and turned on the t.v. while I ordered the pizza. Then I went and sat next to Kevin.

"So when do you start decorating for Christmas?" I asked as I looked around the room.

"I've never really decorated my house for Christmas. I've always been at my mom's house," he said.

"Is it okay if I decorate your house?" I asked.

"Of course you can deorate our house," he said.

"Oh yeah, our house. I like the sound of that," I said.

"So do I," Kevin said as he kissed me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as I continued to kiss him. Then I felt his tongue exploring my mouth. I smiled as we continued to deepen our kiss. Then he began to kiss my neck. I giggled as I felt his soft lips touch my skin.

Ding! Dong!

"Kevin," I said as he continued to kiss my neck.

"Yeah," he said.

"Pizza's here," I said.

"Yep," he said as he moved his lips onto mine.

Ding! Dong!

We continued to kiss.

Ding! Dong!

"Okay. I have to get that," I said as I pulled away from Kevin.

"No," Kevin said as he grabbed me and pulled me onto his lap.

Ding! Dong!

"Kevin, come on let me up," I said while tickling him.

"Oh no, my weakness," Kevin said as he began to laugh.

I grabbed his wallet out of his back pocket and ran to the door. I opened it and there was a teenager holding our pizzas. He looked disgusted that he had to wait.

"Sorry about the wait," I said.

"Sure," he said.

Then Kevin came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"That'll be $12.31," the delivery boy said.

"Okay," Kevin said.

He took his wallet from my hands and paid the guy while I took the pizza into the kitchen. Kevin closed the door and then walked into the kitchen. He came up behind me and began to kiss my neck.

"Boo," I said.

"What?" he asked.

"We can continue that later. Now where are your plates and glasses?" I asked.

"Fine, later," he said. "My plates are in the cabinet on the right and the glasses are above."

"Thanks," I said.

I got the plates and glasses and set them on the table. I went to the refrigerator for some pop. I opened it and it was completely empty.

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that," Kevin said.

"Well, it looks like we'll be going grocery shopping tomorrow," I said.

"I guess. But for right now I'll just run to Circle K and pick up some pop," he said.

"Okay," I said.

He came over to me and kissed me on the lips.

"Be back soon," he said.

"Okay," I said as I sat down at the table.

He grabbed his keys and left. Then I decided to explore while he was gone. I went into the rooms looking at his furniture and things he had collected.

"Hey Janel, I'm home!" he yelled.

"Be there in a second!" I yelled.

I walked out of a room and back downstairs.

"Where were you?" he asked.

"I was just exploring," I said.

"Oh," he said as he put the pop on the table. "Let's eat. I'm starved."

"Me too," I said.

We served ourselves and then sat down at the table. While we were eating I stared at Kevin.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" he asked as he wiped his face with his napkin.

"Oh no," I said as I smiled at him.

"Then what?" he asked.

"I was just thinking how wonderful this is being with you. I mean I've imagined it before, but it's nothing compared to the real thing," I said.

He just smiled and said, "I love you."

"I love you too," I said.

We finished eating and cleared up our mess.

"How about we go up to our room and watch t.v.?" Kevin suggested.

"Yeah, that sounds good to me," I said.

I grabbed my suitcase and took it to our room. Kevin got his and shut all the lights off downstairs. I set my bag on the bed when Kevin walked in.

"I'm just going to change my clothes," I said as I pulled my pajamas out.

"Okay," Kevin said.

I went into the bathrom to change. I walked in and it was huge. It had two sinks, a bath tub, and a shower next to it. It was so nicely set up. I changed then walked out.

Kevin was laying in bed watching t.v.. I set my clothes on my suitcase. Then I got in bed and snuggled close to Kevin. He put his arm around my waist. Then he took his thumb and rubbed my side.

I closed my eyes. I was enjoying his gentle touch against my skin. Then he slowly stopped. I opened my eyes and looked up at him. He was sleeping. I reached over and took the t.v. remote from his hand. I shut it off. Then I placed it on the floor. I turned the lamp off that was next to my head. Then I snuggled back up to Kevin. I covered us up. I kissed his lips and then went to sleep.
