Chapter 52

I quickly got into the 4 Runner and drove home. I was anxious to see what Kevin had done. I pulled into the garage and got the puppy out. I went downstairs and set up a little place for her.

"Okay Candy, night time," I said.

She laid down and closed her eyes. I rubbed the top of her head and then left. I shut the light off. Then I went upstairs. It was pitch black except for by the stairs. I walked over to the stairs and there was Kevin sitting on the steps. He was wearing black pants, a gray shirt, and a long overcoat.

He stood up, walked up to me, and handed me a box. I took it from him and opened it. Inside was my silver skirt and sequin top that I had bought in New York.

"I want you to wear this tonight," Kevin said.

Then he took my hand and led me to the bathroom downstairs.

"You can change in here," he said.

"What about my. . ?" I began to ask.

"Don't worry. Everything you need is in there," he said.

"All right," I said.

Then I closed the door. Everything was in the bathroom, including my shoes. I got dressed and put my make-up on. Then I curled my hair and put it up. I put my shoes on and walked out.

Kevin stood there staring at me.

"You look beautiful," Kevin said as he moved closer to me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.

Then he took my hand.

"This way," he said.

We walked to the backyard door and he opened it. He had candles lighted leading up to the gazebo. We walked up to the gazebo and he had set up a table. He pulled out my chair for me as I sat down.

There were candles and roses all over the gazebo. On the table he had one rose and our plates.

Then Kevin sat down across from me. He opened the wine and poured both of us a glass.

"Thank you," I said.

Then we began to eat.

"It's delicious," I said.

"Thanks," Kevin said as he stared at me.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"Nothing. I'm just looking at my beautiful girlfriend whom I love so much," he said.

I smiled at him. Then I stood up and walked over to him.

"Dance with me Mr. Richardson," I said.

"I'd love to," he said as he stood up.

I wrapped my arms around his neck. He placed his hands on my hips as we slowly danced. We stared into each other's eyes the entire time. Then he leaned forward and kissed me. He held me tighter as we began to kiss more passionately.

"Kevin," I said as he began to kiss my neck.

"Yeah," he said.

"I want you to make love to me," I said.

Kevin stopped kissing me and looked at me.

"What?" he asked.

"Make love to me," I said, then I kissed him.

He kissed me back.

Then I shook my head yes.

He took my hand and we walked back to the house. Then we slowly walked up the stairs to our room. Kevin threw a log in the fireplace and lit it. Then he walked back over to me.

I took his jacket off and threw it on the ground. Then I slowly unbuttoned his shirt. I kissed his chest and then pulled his shirt off.

He took my barrette out and my hair slowly fell down onto my shoulders. Then he put his hands on my hips and lifted my shirt up. Then I took my skirt off. Kevin picked me up and placed me on the bed. I grabbed him and pulled him onto the bed with me. We began to kiss as the rest of our clothes were thrown off. Then Kevin slowly began to make love to me.

"Kevin," I moaned as we continued to make love.

I kissed his neck and began to nibble on his ear. Then I ran my hand down his back. He pulled my body closer to his. Then he began to kiss me all over.

We continued to make love through the night.

Then Kevin pulled me close to him and held me. We watched the fire burn as he rubbed my side with his thumb.

"I love you," I said as I rested my head on his chest.

"I love you too," he said quietly as we closed eyes.

We fell asleep as the fire continued to burn.

In the morning I woke up in Kevin's strong arms. I kissed his chest slowly and softly to wake him up.

He turned and gave me a bear hug.

"Good morning Boo," I said.

"Morning babe," he said. Then he kissed me. "Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas," I said.

Then we laid in bed a while longer. Kevin eventually began to fall back to sleep.

"Hey," I said as I kissed him.

"Oh, what?" he asked.

"Come on, let's get up and see what Santa has brought us," I said as I sat up with the sheet covering me.

"No, let's lay here just a while longer," Kevin said.

"You lazy bum," I said as I got up with the sheet.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Kevin asked as he grabbed the comforter to cover himself.

"Downstairs," I said as I turned and smiled at him.

Then I walked out of our bedroom.

"Hey! Come back here!" Kevin yelled.

"Come catch me!" I yelled from the stairs.

Kevin grabbed the comforter and quickly ran down the stairs.

I turned around to see Kevin coming after me. I laughed and then began to run down the stairs. But it was no use, he caught up to me.

"I got you!" Kevin said as he put his arms around my waist.

I turned around and kissed him. Then he wrapped the blanket around both of us. We kissed each other as we continued to slowly walk down the stairs.

On our way down I accidentally missed a step. I grabbed on to Kevin and both of us went tumbling down the stairs. We were laughing the entire time.

"Are you okay?" I asked Kevin while laughing.

"Yeah, are you?" he asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Yeah," I said as I turned and looked at him.

Then we began to kiss. He placed his hand on my back, pulling me closer to him.

Ring! Ring!

"Ugh," I moaned as Kevin continued to kiss me.

"We're not here," Kevin said.

"Okay," I said.

The phone continued to ring.

I grabbed the comforter and threw it over our heads. Then we began to make love at the bottom of the stairs.
