Chapter 79
Kevin and I walked into the hotel hand in hand. As we walked towards the elevators Kevin kept looking around us. I could tell he had spotted someone. It was like he could sense someone following us.
"Kevin!" yelled a man.
Against both of our instincts, we turned around to see who it was.
Then all of a sudden we saw a flash go off. The man started taking as many pictures as he could.
The girls that had been waiting began running after us.
Kevin grabbed my hand and we quickly began to run towards the elevator.
But before we could make it, we were surrounded by fans and the photographer.
The screams were deafening as they shrieked his name. They automatically pushed me away from Kevin. I tried to hold onto his hand, but they forced us apart. They pulled at Kevin's shirt, everyone trying to touch him and be close to him. Then some of the girls started to grab onto me. They were pulling my hair, purse, and dress.
"Let go!" I screamed frantically as they grabbed onto me.
"He's mine!" a girl yelled. "Kevin is mine!"
I grabbed a girl's hand and tired to pry it from my hair, but she seemed to have a death grip.
"Janel! Janel!" Kevin yelled as he searched through the mob to find her.
"Kevin, I love you!" one girl screamed.
"Boo!" I yelled.
Kevin turned his head recognizing Janel's voice. Then he saw her being attacked by a fan.
"He's mine! He loves me, not you! I'm the one who makes him happy!" the girl yelled.
Kevin began shoving his way over to Janel when a fan grabbed him roughly by the neck. She began kissing him as he tried to push her away, but he couldn't.
"Let go!" I screamed again.
"I'm going to marry him!" the girl screamed as she continued hold onto me.
I turned myself around and slapped her as hard as I could.
Just as I did a flash went off.
She let go of my hair and reached for her cheek.
Before she had a chance to react, security grabbed her.
I looked at the photographer and he took off running.
"Come with me Miss," an officer said as he took my arm and began leading me away.
"No, but Kevin," I said as I looked back at the crowd.
"We're handling it," he said as we walked into a room.
Security was able to finally pull Kevin away from the screaming girls. Then they escorted him into a room.
"Kevin!" I said as I saw him walk in.
Kevin rushed over to Janel and wrapped his arms around her.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. What about you?" I asked.
"Don't worry about me," he said as he placed his hand on my stomach. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay," I said as I hugged him tightly.
"Good," he said as he kissed the top of my head.
Then someone walked into the room. Both Kevin and I turned to look at him. The manager.
"Mr. Richardson I'm terribly sorry about this whole incident. We do not allow anyone passed the lobby unless they have a room here," he said.
"Look, I don't want to hear your excuses or your apology. I just want to get my things and check out," Kevin said angrily.
"Of course," the manager said.
Kevin grabbed my hand and we walked out of the room with security following close behind.
We went into his room and closed the door, leaving security outside to wait.
I sat down on the couch while Kevin quickly packed his clothes.
"Okay, we can go," Kevin said as he walked towards me.
I stood up and took his hand, then we left.
The two guards followed us to my car. Then we got in and left.
We pulled up to my place and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Were we followed?" I asked hesitantly.
"No, I wouldn't have brought you home if we were," he said.
We got out and walked into my town house. Both of us sat down on the couch.
"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked.
"Just a little shaken," I said as I rested my head on his shoulder.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I don't know. We were surrounded and I was standing next to you, and then you're gone and some girls had a hold of me," I said.
"I was terrified when I couldn't see you. I didn't want the girls to hurt you just because you were with me," he said.
"I know," I said.
"But she did, didn't she?" he questioned.
"She kept telling me that you loved her and were going to marry her," I said.
"Well she's wrong," Kevin said as he held me tightly.
"Definitely," I said.
Then we sat there for a while holding each other.
I smiled as chuckled to myself.
"What?" Kevin asked.
"Talk about a bad omen," I said.
"What do you mean?" he asked puzzled.
"We finally get back together and then someone's trying to tear us apart. I'd call that a bad sign," I said.
He smiled at me. "Yes, but look at it this way. We may have been separated but we were able to find a way back to each other."
"Very true," I said as I kissed his neck.
"Do you still want to go to the park?" he asked.
"As long as there's not a psycho fan following us," I said.
"We'll make sure to keep them away from my babies," he said.
"Okay good," I said.
"But first I need to take a shower and change," he said as he got up.
"All right. I'll be waiting here for you," I said.
He went and got his clothes and took a shower. Once he was finished he walked out to Janel.
I grabbed a blanket and then Kevin and I left.
"Want to pick up a couple of tacos?" Kevin asked.
"Yes please. I'm starving," I said.
"All right," he said as he smiled at me.
