Chapter 84

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. Time to go to work again.

Kevin pulled me close to him and rested his chin in my neck.

I giggled as I felt his whiskers tickle my neck. And he kept moving his chin on purpose.

"Don't go into work today," Kevin said.

I laughed at him. "I have to."

"No, just stay here with me," he said as he began kissing my neck.

I laid there enjoying his soft kisses.

"Kevin, I really. . .," I began.

"Ssh," Kevin said. Then he placed his lips on mine.

I smiled as we continued to kiss. He was doing a very good job of trying to get me to stay home.

I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer.

Then I felt something and pulled away from him.

"What?" Kevin asked surprised.

"The baby just kicked," I said happily.

"Really?" he asked excitedly.

"Uh huh," I said.

I took his hand and placed his hand on my stomach. Then we laid there waiting.

"Oh!" both of us said excitedly.

"Did you feel that?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said as he smiled.

He lifted up my shirt and kissed my stomach.

"Hi my baby. Your daddy's here," he said as he talked to my tummy.

I smiled at him.

"I love you," he said as he kissed my stomach again.

Then he laid back down next to me. We stared at each other as our foreheads touched.

"I love you," he said.

I kissed him. "I love you too."

Then I sat up and got out of bed.

"No, don't go to work," he said as he sat up.

"Sorry, but I have to," I said as I headed towards the shower.

"Need me to help you in the shower?" he asked as he wiggled his eyebrows.

I laughed at him. "Yeah right, Richardson."

"What? I just want to help you on your way," he said innocently.

"I know what you're trying to do Mister and it's not going to work," I said.

"What's not going to work?" he asked.

I smiled. "If you help in the shower, you know that I'm never going to want to leave you."

"I was thinking no such thing," he said as he smiled back at me.

"Whatever," I said as I walked into the bathroom and locked the door.

I quickly took a shower and changed.

I grabbed my purse and keys when Kevin wrapped his arms around me.

"You're not leaving without giving me a kiss," he said.

"Wouldn't even think of it," I said as I turned around.

He bent down and gave me a kiss.

"Have a good day at work," he said.

"I hope so," I said. "Maybe I won't get so many deadly looks today."

"Don't worry about the fans," he said.

"I'm not so much worried, I'd just prefer that they weren't so rude to me," I said.

"I know they are, and I'm really sorry about that," he said as he kissed me.

"It's okay. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself," I said.

He kissed me one last time and then I walked out.

I went to work and the place was all ready packed. I said hi to a couple people and then got busy.

After the day was almost over with I finally sat down and took my break.

Kevin moped around the house all day long. He couldn't really do anything because he didn't have a car. But he really wanted to get out and do something. So he called a cab. He decided that he was going to surprise Janel. And then after work they could go out to eat or something.

I was drinking my pop when someone put their hands over my eyes.

"Hi Rick," I said.

"Ugh! You took all the fun out of it," he said as he took his hand off.

I smiled at him.

"How did you know it was me?" he asked as he sat down.

"My psychic powers told me," I said.

"Right," he said as he smiled at me. "So how have you been? I haven't got to talk to you lately."

"Pretty good," I said. "Kevin and I got back together."

He frowned as I mentioned Kevin's name.

"Well it's good to see that both you and Kevin have the same reaction when I mention your names," I said.

"I'm sorry Janel. But it just makes me so angry when I think about what he did to you," Rick said.

"I know. But we're trying to start over," I said. "He makes me happy."

"Well as long as you're happy. But I swear if he ever hurts you like that again I'll kick his ass," Rick said.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Not if Lauren reaches him first."

He laughed. "Yeah, she might be a little more dangerous than me."

"Yep, that's my sis," I said. "So I heard that you've been a busy man yourself in the love department?"

He smiled. "You talked to Char, didn't you?"

"Yep, I got all the details from her and now it's time for you to spill," I said.

"What's to spill? We just went out dancing," he said nonchalantly.

"What? Nothing to spill?" I questioned. "First of all, Mr. I-Hate-Dancing-Cause-I-Can't-Dance went to a club and enjoyed himself!?"

He began laughing at me.

Kevin walked into Target looking for Janel at the registers. When he didn't see her there he looked around at the food court. Then he spotted her with Rick.

He instantly felt a tinge of jealousy. He just stood there at the front of Target watching Janel and Rick. They seemed to be having a real good time together. They were getting a little too close for him.

"Um, excuse me," a tall, slender, redhead girl said.

Kevin turned his head away from Rick and Janel to look at the young girl.

"Hi my name is Rachel," she said as she giggled. "I was wondering if I could have your autograph."

"Sure," he replied.

He signed his autograph for her and then they continued to talk. He knew the young girl was flirting with him. He just when a long with it, flashing her his sexy smile and using his deep voice. If Janel could flirt with whoever she wanted, then he could to.

I stood up and hugged Rick. "I'll make sure to call you later."

"All right," he said. "Bye."

"Bye," I said as he walked away.

I watched him walk out the door and then I spotted Kevin. He was talking to some young girl as she threw herself all over him. He didn't even stop her, he just smiled and continued flirting.

I wanted to shoot him right there in the spot at which he stood.

I went and told Char that I was leaving. Then I walked up to Kevin and the young girl.

They both stared at for me a second.

"You're his girlfriend, aren't you?" she questioned rudely.

"Yes. I am," I said as I glared at them.

"Oh," she said.

Then she kissed Kevin's cheek. "Thanks."

He smiled at her as she walked away. "You're welcome."

I looked at him and then walked out.

Kevin quickly followed Janel to her car.

I got into the car and started it.

Kevin quickly climbed in before she left without him.

"Want to go out for dinner?" he asked.

"Nope," I said.

Then I turned the radio on and made sure the volume was up loud enough to drown out any conversation.
