Chapter 90

"Kevin," I whispered into his hear. "Wake up Boo."

He didn't respond, so I began kissing his neck. Then I nibbled on his ear. He moaned as a smile spread across his face.

I looked at him and giggled. He looked so adorable. I leaned forward and kissed his nose.

"Wake up sleepy head," I said as I ran my fingers through his hair.

Kevin laid there awake, but with his eyes closed. He was just enjoying her gentle touch and soft kisses.

I stared at him, thanking God that I had such a wonderful loving man here with me.

I reached out and softly caressed his cheek with the back of my hand. Then I leaned forward placing my lips on his.

Kevin responded as he took my face into his hands and kissed me.

I pulled away from Kevin and smiled at him. "Good morning."

"Definitely," he said as he kissed me again.

Then I took his hand, pulling him up.

"Time to get up. Unless you'd like to stay here in New York," I said as he sat up.

"No way. We're going back to Orlando," Kevin said as he got out of bed.

"That's what I thought," I said.

"Is everything packed?" he asked.

"Yeah, I finished this morning," I said.

"Okay," he said. "I'm just going tot take a shower real quick."

"All right," I said. "I'll make us a couple of bagels. Is that okay with you?"

"Yeah, sounds good," he said as he wrapped his arms around me.

Then he placed his hand on my stomach.

"Oh, they kicked," he said. "Morning little ones. We're going home today."

"Yeah, but not if you don't get your butt in that shower," I said, smiling at him.

"Hey," he said as he began to walk away. Just before he closed the door, he wiggled his butt.

I laughed as he shut the door. Then I went into the kitchen and began making us our bagels.

Kevin came out a little while later and we ate our breakfast.

Afterwards Kevin loaded the suitcases into Rick's car. I checked the townhouse one last time and then went outside.

"Is that everything?" he asked.

"Yep, I'm ready to go," I said.

"Okay," he said as he opened my car door for me.

Rick, Char, Kevin, and I stood in the airport waiting for our flight to come in.

"Thanks again for everything," I said as I hugged Rick one last time.

"You're welcome," he said. "Just don't forget me and Char here in New York."

"Don't worry, I won't," I said as I let go of him.

"Yeah, and as soon as there's any news on the twins, we want to know," Char said.

"You will," I said.

Then our flight was called.

"That's us," Kevin said.

"Have a safe trip," Rick said.

"Bye, you guys," Char said.

"Bye," I said as we began to walk away.

Kevin just waved good bye to them.

After take off I snuggled close to Kevin. He rested his chin on my head as he put his hand on my stomach.

Soon afterwards both of us fell asleep.

"Lauren, is everything ready?" Brian asked as he sat down on the couch in Kevin's living room.

"Yes Brian. For the 10th time, it's ready," Lauren said.

"What about the food?" he asked.

"I all ready made it, just needs to be put it in the oven. And the bridge dessert is in the refrigerator," she answered.

"Okay good," he said.

"So when exactly is Janel supposed to be here?" Howie asked.

"Kev said about 12. He also said that they had news about the baby," Brian said, smiling.

"Really?" Nick asked.

"Did he tell you?" Stacey asked.

"No, he wouldn't say anything else," Brian said.

"What do you think it could be?" A.J. asked.

"I'm sure it's good news, cause Kev sounded like he was grinning from ear to ear," Brian said.

"Well as soon as they get here we'll make sure she tells us," Tina said.

"For sure," Ashley said. "Actually, I'm still surprised that she's pregnant. I still think of us as teenagers."

"So do I," Brian agreed. "But I know they'll make great parents."

"Yeah, they will," Lauren said. "Oh Howie. Did you bring the camcorder?"

"Yeah, it's all ready," Howie said.

"Good," Lauren said as she kissed him.

"Well I better get going since their plane will be landing soon," Brian said as he stood up.

"Okay, we'll see you in a while Rok," A.J. said.

The stewardess gently shook Kevin to wake him up.

Kevin opened his eyes to see a young girl smiling at him.

"We'll be landing soon. I need you to make sure that both of you are safely buckled in," she said.

"Okay, thanks," Kevin said.

As she walked away, he began to rub Janel's arm softly.

"Baby," he whispered.

Janel stirred, but she only dug her head into his chest more. He smiled to himself as he began to run his fingers through her hair. Then he kissed the top of her head.

"Pumpkin," he said.

"Mmm," I moaned.

"Wake up baby," he said quietly as he leaned down next to my ear.

Kevin watched as Janel smiled.

I took Kevin's hand and put it on my cheek.

"We'll be landing soon," Kevin said. "So you need to buckle up."

"Okay," I said as I sat up.

He smiled and then kissed me softly.

"So did my babies sleep well?" he asked as I buckled up.

"Yep, safe in daddy's arms," I said, smiling at him.

"Always," Kevin replied.

Brian made his way to the gate, waiting to pick Janel and Kevin up. He watched as the plane glided up to the gate.

Soon the passengers were getting off. Brian scanned the people searching for Janel. He was so anxious to see her. He wanted to see how she was doing and how far along she was. Then he saw his cousin coming toward him, but he still couldn't see Janel.

He finally saw Janel, as she came from behind a couple in front of her. "There's Shorty."

I smiled as I saw Brian. It was so good to see that wonderful face of his.

We walked up to Brian and he just stared at me with this goofy grin on his face.

"Aren't you going to hug me Bri?" I asked.

"Oh my god," Brian said. "You're. . ."

"Fat," I said.

He laughed. "No Shorty, I was going to say that you're pregnant. I just can't believe it."

"Well give the pregnant woman a hug," I said.

"Oh, of course," he said, smiling at me.

Then he quickly wrapped his arms around me.

I hugged him tightly, glad to be around family again.

He kissed my forehead and then pulled away. He smiled as he looked at my protruding stomach.

"Wow," he said, amazed.

I took his hand and then placed it on my stomach.

"Hey! It kicked!" he said excitedly.

I laughed at his reaction. He acted the same way Kevin and I did.

"That's so cool," Brian said as we began to walk, heading for our luggage.

"Yeah, it's an amazing feeling," I said as I held Kevin's hand.

"Does it hurt?" Brian asked.

"No, not at all. It almost feels like a tap, but just a little harder," I said.

"So Brian, it's nice seeing you too," Kevin said as we stopped to wait for our bags.

"Oh Kev, I'm sorry," Brian said.

He went over to his cousin and hugged him.

"How have you been?" Brian asked.

"Bored. And desperate to get back here in sunny Orlando, Florida," Kevin replied.

"Yeah, the poor baby was stuck with me in New York," I said. "And sometimes he had to stay at home by himself."

"Yeah, I know. He called often enough! Complaining to me that you were at work," Brian said.

"Oh poor Brian, listening to my Boo," I said, smiling at Kevin.

Brian smirked at Kevin.

"What?" Kevin asked defensively.

"She still calls you that," Brian said.

"Yes. And I still call her Pumpkin," Kevin said.

"You guys never call Kevin, Boo?" I asked.

"Yeah right!" Brian exclaimed. "He'd kill us if we even thought about calling him that. So instead we just call him Old Man."

Kevin rolled his eyes, hating when they called him that.

"I'm not an Old Man," Kevin pouted.

"Well you act like it sometimes," Brian said.

"Well it's just that sometimes. . .," Kevin began.

Brian laughed. "Here he goes with his father lecture about life being hard and you have to work hard for everything, yada yada yada."

"You know it by heart?" I asked, smiling at Brian.

"Yes," he said. "You don't know how many times Nick and I have heard this lecture."

"If you two would act your age occasionally, I wouldn't have to lecture you," Kevin said.

Brian smiled innocently. "Us not act our age? That's insane. We always act our age."

"Yeah, which is about 5," Kevin muttered as he went to grab our bags.

"So how is Nicky?" I asked.

"He's good," Brian replied.

"Kevin didn't hurt him to much, did he?" I asked.

"Not really, but they weren't exactly buddy buddy either," Brian said as Kevin came back over to us.

"Ready to go home?" Kevin asked.

"Yes," I said.

"All right then, let's leave this mad house," Brian said as he helped Kevin with the luggage.

"So Brian where's your wonderful fiancee?" I asked as Brian drove.

"Oh, Ashley really wanted to come with me, but she had a few errands to run," Brian said.

"Oh okay," I said. "So what have you been up to while you guys are on this break?"

"Nothing at all," Brian said happily.

"Enjoying it?" I asked.

"Oh, yes," he answered.

After about 45 minutes of driving we finally pulled up into our driveway.

"Finally. . .home," I said as Brian shut off the car.

We got out and the guys got a couple of our bags.

"Here let me help you," I said, trying to take a bag from Brian.

"No, I've got it," he said. "Just open the door."

"Keys are in my pocket," Kevin said.

"Okay," I said.

I reached into his pocket and found them. Then I went up to the door and unlocked it. I turned the doorknob and opened it.

"Welcome Home!" yelled everyone.

I stood there shocked, staring at the gang. Then I began to cry.

"Oh! Look, we made her cry," A.J. said as he began to walk over to me.

I shook my head no as I smiled at them.

"I'm just so happy to see all of you again," I choked out.

Then A.J. hugged me tightly.

"Hey sweetie," he said as he kissed my cheek.

"Hi Bone," I said as I wiped away my tears.

"All right J, my turn," Howie said.

A.J. let go and then I hugged Howie.

"Hey D," I said.

"Hi sweetheart, how are you?" he asked.

"Pretty good," I said.

"Move baby, and let me hug my sis," Lauren said.

Howie smiled and then quickly let go.

"Hi baby sis," Lauren said as she hugged me.

"I missed you," I said as I began to cry again.

"Missed you too," she said.

Then she let go and I hugged Stacey, Tina, and Ashley.

"Oh, look at poor Nicky standing by himself. Come here," I said.

He smiled and walked over to me. He put his arms around me and gave me a quick hug.

"That's it, just a quick hug?" I asked.

"I didn't want to hurt you," he said.

"Nicky, I'm pregnant, not dying," I said.

He smiled. Then he gave me another hug.

"See, I won't break," I said.

He let go and all of us stood there. They were all staring at me.

"Come on let's go in the living room so we can sit down," I said.

"Okay," everyone agreed.

Brian closed the door while Kevin came over to me. Then we all went into the living room.

"So who's idea was this?" I asked, smiling at everyone.

"Your wonderful boyfriend's," Kevin answered.

I turned to him and kissed him.

"Hey! It was my idea too!" A.J. said.

Stacey hit A.J. on the arm. "It was not. You just want a kiss."

A.J. just grinned.

"So how are you feeling?" Tina asked.

"Really good actually. But a few weeks ago the morning sickness was terrible," I said.

"Uh, so Kev said that you guys had news about the baby? We're all dying to know what it is," Brian said.

"Yes, please tell us," Lauren said.

Kevin and I were smiling from ear to ear.

"Well are you going to tell us?" asked Stacey.

"Yeah, go ahead," Kevin said.

I looked at everyone, noticing their anxious faces.

"I'm having twins!" I said excitedly.

Brian was the first one to hug me and Kevin.

"Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys," he said.

"Thanks Brian," we said.

Then we had to hug everyone all over again.

"So what are you having?" Ashely asked.

"Little boys or little girls?" Lauren asked.

"We don't know yet," Kevin said.

"Why not?" asked Tina.

"Kevin and I just got the results yesterday and we decided to wait until we got home," I replied.

"Well you're home now, so let's find out," Lauren said.

"Yeah Uncle A.J. wants to know who he'll be spoiling," he said.

"Okay. Kev can you get the folder out of my bag?" I asked.

"Yes," Kevin said as he quickly got up and got it.

He came back and sat on the couch next to me. Everyone else stood behind us wanting to be as close as they could.

I bit my lip nervously as Kevin began to open it.

"You ready?" he asked as he looked at me.

I leaned forward and kissed him. "Go ahead."

He smiled and then pulled the paper out, both of us reading over it carefully.
