Chapter Ten - Priceless Memories
***********************************
Every little thing that you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby I'm amazed by you (Lonestar - Amazed)

I went back home and put the tape in. Brian's face popped up on the screen.
"Hey! What's up? I see you've finally found the tape.
Ever since I've met
you, I've been working on this. I've taped some stuff, but A.
J.'s taped
most of it. He's the one taping this right now."
"Yo Becca!" A. J.'s voice piped up from the background.
"Shut up A. J.!" Brian joked. "So, sit back, relax, and watch...Becca...dum
dum dum...this is YOUR LIFE!!"
Suddenly, there we were, in the airport, meeting the guys for the first
time...and then me and Brian's first date. I laughed at how awkward
we
looked. Our first kiss. Walking on the beach, hand in hand,
at sunset
after a day of playing beach volleyball, swimming, rollerblading, and
basketball at a nearby court. Him asking me out. Him kicking
my butt at
basketball and me kicking his butt at volleyball. Making out.
Wait a
second.
"Making out?!" I said aloud. "I'm gonna kill A. J.!"
Brian came back on then.
"Well, that's about it. I know what you're thinking - Kill A.
J.! But
don't. I actually kinda wanted him to...." he grinned at the
camera,
looking sheepish.
"I will always love you," he continued, "always! But I want you
to be happy
with another guy. Maybe not right away, but someday. Do
that much for me.
Live your life. Do the things I'll never get to do. Get
married, have
kids...wait! I forgot something! I'm not gonna say it,
but, A. J., what
comes after getting married and before having kids?"
"Uhhhmmm, oh! Duh! HONEYMOON!!!!!!!" A. J. shouted from the background.
Brian laughed. "Yeah, too bad I'll miss that!" He raised
his eyebrows.
"Get old, retire, see my grandkids - well, before I get all mushy on
you,
I'll cut this off." He gave me his Ace Ventura grin. "See
you when it's
time. I love you!"
The screen went blank; I rewound the tape and took it out. I smiled
through
my tears. Brian was gone, that was true. I would see him
again...someday.
But he was waiting for me in heaven, on the other side of all my tomorrows.
