* There are a lot of verbs in this chapter because we are going to learn how to conjugate them.
miru - to see, to watch
kaeru - to change (transitive) (RU verb)
kaeru - to go back, to go home (U verb)
hanasu - to talk, to speak
kaku - to write, to draw
oyogu - to swim
tatsu - to stand up
suwaru - to sit down
kau - to buy
shinu - to die
tobu - to jump, to fly
aru - to be, there is/are (for non-living things)

suru - to do
* "Suru" is a very useful verb in Japanese. You can add it to many kanji words and make them into verbs. Since kanji can't conjugate, the Japanese add their own word "suru" to conjugate for them. Here are a few words that this happens with.
unten - driving
unten suru - to drive
ryouri - cooking, cuisine
ryouri suru - to cook
Adjectives - keiyoushi
ii (yoi) - good (only irregular I adjective)
Postpositions - joshi
to - with
de - in (a language), at (a place; used with action verbs)
ni - at (a place; used with static verbs like "iru" and "aru")
