Purpose of this Site
This information has been assembled by a group of lay members who want to offer their help to monastics who may be transitioning to a life outside the ashram. We feel it's important to stress that we respect and support the monastic way of life, but at the same time, understand there will be those who choose to continue their search for God elsewhere. It is out of gratitude for the inspiration and help we have received from the monastics that we offer our support to those transitioning from ashram life.
How We Can Help
A number of lay members have offered various types of support. We are offering help with:
Who We Are
This effort is being initiated by devotees in the Mt. Washington area who have helped people in the past and are
offering their help to others. We have been able to give job leads and help with car purchases, housing and other practicalities.
You also will have the opportunity to connect with other people who have been or who are under
similar circumstances. This connection with others who are in transition or who
have successfully completed a transition, has been very helpful to those who are presently making this journey. There is no leader or core
group, just people reaching out friend to friend. By contacting this site, people can communicate confidentially
and be directed to someone who will be able to assist them one on one.
