Notice it tries to appeal to geezers, by saying she's young, by losers and geeks by saying she doesn't like jocks, and it tries to imply she's easy by mentioning she's an exotic dancer. And it mentions she's a good cook, which will presumably appeal to those looking for a maid.

This is an almost plausible one, but notice how she doesn't really say much about herself, uses the area pretty much as a cut and paste from the ad heading I was listed under (Missouri, St. Louis Area? something you see in a category, not something you would write in a letter). Real people put up their pages on geocities (like me) or on aol, if they are an aol member or something like that.

I also got the same exact mail about 5-6 times. Just a bit of a tip off.

This is a very well written one, though again, it tries to a convey a pattern of being something of a slut ("I like sex but I'm not slut", uh yeah. Maybe true, but how many women say that when they first meet a man? Damned few. Also the tell tale sign is the use the address on the 4th page of her site, which is the one right after the adult pass you have to buy.

This one actually got me, at least to go to the site in question. But once at the site you see it's nothing more than a porno scam. Still up and working, despite denials that yahoo is supposedly sending their lawyers after these scammers.

This I hate because it's not just targetting the pervos, who I don't mind being scammed, but on lonely people like me. There's nothing wrong with being lonely, and those of us that are shouldn't be preyed on.

Vaguely plausible at least, but the site was clearly a porno one from the name. If it has hot or slut or sexy in the title, chances are it's a porn scam.
