My grandma is a buddhism therefore my family and I are too. My grandma is a really buddhismist person...she always goes to the temple and pray. She wakes up every Sunday morning at 5:00 am to go to the temple. She is really faithful. She respects the monks and help them out with things they can't do. Actually almost most of my family goes to the temple a lot. My two aunts goes to the temple all the time too. They are the one that takes my grandma.
When there are holidays, like mothers day or the birth of buddha, we go to the temple {everyone goes}. The ceremony starts at around 10 am and ends at 12 pm. During that time my grandma and her daughters are inside praying while my cousins and I are outside helping out with the food. The food is served to the people after the ceremony. The food is made by this lady from a vetataren restuarnt..... she volunteers to cook there. My aunt would make dessert.... thats the thing that I would help out with. We have to put the dessert into a little foam cup.... and there is a lot of dessert. Its really fun to do that because I get to be with my cousins and family......and I am helping out the temple. But this only happens a few times a year.
On the week of buddah's birth, my grandma goes to the temple everyday. The monks are praying while she and her friends are cooking dinner for the monks. My grandma doesn't mind doing all theis because the temple is part of her life..! She stays at the temple until night time.....she comes home exausted but she doesnt care.
