Analysis: Looking back at Roger Cedeno is painful. Acquired for an original draft pick and signed to 6 or 7 million in FA that year, I really thought he would be a good/great OF for many years. Boy was I wrong. I've never had a real superstar out in the OF but I've done decent with players who are quality players but maybe have a couple of flaws. For example Pierre is a great player but has no power, Floyd was spectacular in 2005 but was a huge injury risk, Drew has the same problem but hopefully will hold up in 2006. Bay is the one exception if he continues to progress he very well may be the superstar OF I've desired since the league began. I've made tons of changes to OF many turned out good some turned out bad. Trading Gomes was a desperate attempt to win the 2005 championship. Yes Boston won but considering Hermanson has already been demoted from his closing job I'm already regretting this trade. |
