Name- Asuka Langely Soryu Codename- 02, second children Age- 14 ((Born December 4th, 2000)) Backround-      A much much perkier character than Rei Ayanami or Shenji Ikari, she is the third Evangelion pilot to come out of the works.  Asuka is 1/4 Japanese, 3/4 german, and can speak german, japanese, and english.  Like Rei, she recieved special training to be an Eva pilot, but in The Nerv facility in Germany.  Although Asuka has a very peppy, optimistic outlook, her history is not so pleasent... Both of Asuka's parents were scientist and, due to unknown circumstances, divorced while she was very young, moveing in with her mother, and shortly after, her father remarried.  A Evangelion test pilot herself, she was drivin crazy after trying to syncronize with an Eva.  As a result, she began seeing a small doll as her beloved daughter Asuka.  This caused Asuka to grow up faster, and mature quickly, without her mother's supervision.  When Asuka learned that she was to be a Evangelion pilot, she quicklet ran to her mother to tell her the good news.  She found her mother hanging from the ceiling with the doll next to her, it's head ripped off.  She went to live with her father and step-mother after that, although they did not agree, Asuka being much more of an adult than her parents liked.  After completing her training, and moving to Japan, she met Shenji, and quickly formed a love/hate relationship, but formed a rather distant relatioship with Rei Ayanami, because of thier opposite attitudes....  Asuka is quite a fun character to watch, even if she can be a bitch at times...
