About Us... (In case you wondered)

Karla:

So me. Ifm a goth, and until recently a goth living very happily in Hachioji. Went to Japan for university many moons ago; got stuck with it; finally didnft want to leave. I landed on the D bandwagon not long after they started, which is how I managed to see them in nearly all their phases so far (lalala, and no offers for my copy of Alice, thank you kindlyc); the reviews of the first and second OneMan shows and the Cannonball show are mine.

Ifm also one of-I suspect-only a few people who will happily rip the piss out of Hiroki to his face.

So there.

I did most of the translations on this site, so here Ifm going to put a disclaimer.

Asagi writes top pretentious lyrics. Ifm a poncy goth. Therefore what you read here will be suitably, if not downright unnecessarily, pretentious (save for Alice, which I would rename eIfm A Dirty Old Pervf, but there you go). Canft be helped, Ifm afraid!

I use British English and I write as Ifm comfortable writing. You can feel free to disagree with my translations if you want. Ifve put the meaning into what I reckon to be similar meaning in English. Lyrics are virtually impossible to translate properly at the best of times-I once read a translator saying that etranslating poetry is like trying to translate Bach into Rachmaninovf-it wont work.  Nonetheless, you  can at least see what Asagifs on about.

In the lyrics, I left almost all of Asagifs English as it came (I admit it; at times I wasnft certain what he meant), save for the lines of  the Lordfs Prayer in Face; I felt duty-bound to correct them, since itfs a formulaic prayer with a set, specific words.

Me? What about me? I am no one in particular.  I became a fan of D back in February 2004, thanks to Karla. I became addicted to Alice and Nightship D (Only things I had). When I got to Tokyo managed to pick up a copy of Paradox and Yume Narishi Kuuchuu Teien (When it came out.)  ~...And there was much rejoicing...~

I would be your humble Webmistress. This is my first 'real' attempt at a 'real' website... I would appreciate everyone's commentary in the guestbook please. ^____^   Thank you!

  Kokuchou:

I have absolutely no good pictures of myself, so you get the butterfly for now.  I became a D fan in March 2004 when Karla dragged me to one of their lives.  Now I love the band.
