In Mario 64 the princes is captured by Bowser and Mario(you) is trying to save her. You collect stars to open new levels and win keys to unlock new doors. There are 3 power ups you must win the right to use, invisibility, flying, and metal mario. You fight the boss (Bowser) three times and the third time you free the princess.

BASIC OVERVIEW

In this game you run around and collect coins to heal yourself. If you get 100 coins in any level (all of them) you win a star. Stars can also be won by following the tasks they give you. Unfortunately, the do not give you much detail in what you have to do and the best way to figure it out is ask someone who has already beaten it. Even after Bowser is defeated and Peach is freed the game is still not over. You must collect all 250 stars and once you do you can go on the roof of the pallace and meet Yoshi. I am not going to tell you what Yoshi does but trust me when i say that no matter how annoying it is to get every single star in the entire palace, Yoshi is worth it.

MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS

Stars: Stars are the power that unlock new levels. You know how many stars you need to get for a level by the number on the door. When you get a star, except the 100 coin star, you automatically exit the level.

Coins: When weakened coins heal you. There are three types of coins, yello(1 coin), red (5 coins), and blue (10 coins). You can get coins by finding them around the level and by killing enemies. TO get 100 coins and the "Coin Star" you must get every single coin in the level!

Levels: Each level is a painting and you dive into it to enter the level. Youcan get 6 stars per level. Stars guaranteed in a level:

• Coin Star: Get all 100 coins.
• Red Coin Star: Get the 5 red coins hidden in the level.
• Climb a mountain: If there is a mountain or really big hill you ussually have a star waiting for you.
• Race: ABout 1/3 of the levels have 1 or 2 races you get a star if you win

Hints:

• If there is a guarden or bush surrounded with coins run around it really fast and you'll get a 1 up.
• Climb trees alot stuff flass out of them.
• When in doubt go higher up.
• Do not lose your hat and if you do donot leave the level untill you get it back.
• If you see Koopa Troopa Jump on him and steal his shell.
• Watch out for fake coins!
