In Tony Hawk you skate around getting points, collecting stuff, following tasks. Each time you complete a task you get tapes. Tapes unlock new levels. Every once and awhile you have to get atleast 3rd in a competition to advance to the next level.

BASIC OVERVIEW

You select the skater you want to be. At the begining only one level is availible to you untill you get more tapes. There are 5 tapes per level. There is always a "high score", "pro score", "secret tape", and "Get S-K-A-T-E".

MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS

Competitions: There are three competitions in the game. Each has 3 rounds. Your 2 best scores average is compaired to the other competitors. You must get atleast 3rd in order to go to the next level.

Characters: There is ofcourse Tony Hawk. Also there is Chad Muska, and others but my favorite is the secret character, Officer Dick. He is an overweight police man and all of his decks are basically donuts and coffee.

Special Moves: Special moves can be grinds, flip, or grab tricks. They are always more complex than normal tricks. For example the 900 for Tony is right, right, C-right. They are harder to land too but if done properly get loads of points.

Multiplayer:

• Grafitti: When you do a trick on a ramp or rail it becomes you color. You can steal from your apponent by doing a better trick than they did. Person with the most colored atthe end wins.
• Trick Attack: person with the highest score at the end of time limit wins.
• Horse: You are dropped in a set location and given 10 seconds to do a trick. The 1st trick you do is what is counted. Than the next player has a chance to get an equal or higher score or they will get a letter. If they beat you you must then beat the score that they set.
