BEARTREK is a private house party for gay and bisexual
BEARS
and their male admirers, held in Santa Clara, a city near San Jose in Northern California.
It happens roughly every two weeks, almost always on a Friday night, from 7:30pm until
it breaks up around 12:30am. It is a clothing-optional affair where bears can meet
and watch the latest STAR TREK episodes,
Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Stargate Atlantis, other science fiction, bear-related
features, masculine-oriented porn, and additional fare worth watching.
There is a hot tub for socializing and relaxing, play areas in which to get to know
each other better, and a shower for cleaning up. Some food, towels
for the hot tub, and safer-sex supplies are provided by your host.
A $10 contribution is requested from all attendees, although nobody will be turned
away for lack of funds if he lets the host know he's having trouble that week.

A BEAR is a gay or bisexual man who likes the company of men. He is masculine,
hairy and/or bearded, probably has a bit of a gut, and maybe some muscles
and a growly attitude.
