"Have a family one day."
Was there any particular moment you remember that you knew fame was coming your way?
"I never really thought I would be famous. I wanted to be a great cop. I never thought I would be on TV ."
Did you ever get caught doing something by your parents that you really weren't supposed to be doing?
"My Dad caught me cursing in the street, he was not happy."
Did you ever get suspended or kicked out of school?
"I was suspended a few times from H.S. for fighting but never kicked out."
When you still lived at home with your parents....Did you ever sneak girls into your room?
"Of Course!"
What is your favorite meal to cook?
"I don't cook."
Do you have any phobias or is there anything that really scares you?
"I have a fear of heights. I overcame them when I was in the Marines but I have developed that fear again."
What was the best advice your parents ever gave you and do you think about it when you are making decisions?
"No particular advice. Because of my dad I stayed away from drugs and serious trouble. He kept an eye on me all the time."
What do you consider a major turnoff?
"When people hound me constantly for the most trivial things."
Is humor important to you?
"I think personally humor is the one thing I seek out in my friends and my mate."
If you could chose to be anyone, past or present who would it be and why?
"I would be Alexander the Great. He was a fair and powerful leader. A great conqueror"
How often do you shave your head?
"Every other day."
What is the last thing you do at night before you go to bed and the first thing you do every morning?
"Take my contacts out, put my contacts in. I'm blind as a bat."
I know in some of the shows the guests have used you and guys to get their point across....ie. sitting on your lap, whip cream on the toes....etc. I know it is all in fun, but has there ever been a time when you have gotten really embarrassed?
"Not really, everything is in the spirit of fun."
Could you tell me what is the most impressive attempt a fan has made to get your attention?
"One woman sent me a dozen roses."
I noticed at the end of the new shows it shows you walking down the hallway letting the guests talk and giving them some friendly advice....I know this is probably something you have always done, just off camera.....Who's idea was it to catch it on film for the viewing audience? (don't get me wrong, your fans love it !!)
"The executive producer, Richard Dominick. I had never done this until this season."
You have said when the audience shouts Steve, Steve, Steve it kind of embarrasses you....Do you still feel that way since the format has changed and you come out right before Jerry?
"I still think it's crazy when people chant my name. I think it's funny."
I have had a couple people wanting to know what kind of dog you have.....I know you have said mixed breed but could you describe her for us?
"She (Dina) is 11 years old about 45 pounds, all black with white chest. I think she has a lot of shepard in her."
I'm not sure why I am asking this but we have talked alot about cars lately.....What was the first car you ever had and what are you driving now?
"My first car was a 72 Fiat Spyder. I drive a Ford Expedition."
Since you have appeared in different TV shows and had a part in Austin Powers....Are there any other parts you have accepted that should have us watching the TV guide or the movie listings ?
"I'm doing an Independent movie here in Chicago called the Vagrant."
I have read that when they go out on location with the Springer Cam they send a camera crew and security....Who from security goes? Do you guys take turns or is it just whoever is available ?
"I send whoever is available."
Are you still working full time with CPD or have you had to cut back ?
(I know when we were there in Sept. the taping had gone over and all of you were racing off in different direction to get to work.)
"I still work for the CPD as I would like to get my pension."
When you started Springer it was a part time gig.....Over the years your duties have grown into a full time job and the celebrity status you have now....Had you ever considered a career in television prior to Springer and how do you feel about having so many fans of your own from all over the world ?
"I would love to get into Movies or TV. The fans are great. Meeting Springer Fans is a blast."

"John"

Q: How did you get into Law Enforcement ?
A: He got into law enforcement because his Dad was a police officer. So, like his dad, he went into the Marines and then into the police.
Q: What kind of things do you like to do to relax ?
A: To relax he likes to go to all sporting events but, especially baseball. His favorite birthday gift ever was season tickets to the Cubs for this past season. Steve loves to talk baseball and baseball trivia and reads all books on the subject. In his office, he keeps a collection of baseballs signed by the players who have visited the show including Dwight Gooden, Derek Jeter, David Justice and many more. Almost all of them watch the show. Nearly every major team has been to the show.
Q: What do you consider the ideal vacation ?
A: His favorite vacations are in any tropical place. He loves the sun and the beach and to tan. Recent vacations include trips to Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Bahamas. He also likes casinos in Puerto Rica and Vegas and other places where he can play poker and smoke cigars (He's a real man's man).
Q: Who has made the most influence in your life ?
A: His Marine Corp. Drill Instructors.
Q: What do you consider to be the perfect night out on the town ?
A: Steve's favorite night out is dinner, drinks and cigars with friends ( he likes cigar bars and restaurants and is a real meat and potatoes guy, loves steak and ribs).
Q: I know you have traveled all over with Jerry, what was your favorite place to visit ?
A: His favorite event with Jerry was going to Mardi Gras a few years ago when Jerry was the marshall of the parade. Some 15,000 people were there mobbing Jerry and he had to work hard but he says it was "unbelievable".
