Ratchabopit Temple
This exquiste temple was
built in the Fifth reign. An outstanding architecture
designed by a Thai craftsmanship is the circular-shaped colonnades decorated
with the five primary colors tiles at the base of the Great Pagoda. The
Ubosot
(ceremony hall) and the Vihara (main hall) are distinctive in their designs with
the Thai-style on the exterior and western-style on the interior, which is
similar
to the Versailles Palace. Other significant elements of this temple are
the 100-
year-old gazebo, which was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the
temple
, and the royal cemetery built to dedicate to the Queen consorts, Princes and
Princesses.
