Roland Garros Stadium of Tennis
	Le French championship have started their second century of existance , but their international character and thair presence at the universally known Roland Garros Stadium, are more recent.... Whereas a darling few disputed the first tournament in 1891 (14 years after Wimbledon was created in 1817, 10 years after the U.S Championship started in 1881, and 14 years before the Australian  Championship in 1881, and 14 years before the Australian Championships which started in 1905, it only became international in 1935. This year 2001 Tournament is therefore the 100th French Championship (dateof reference:1891, the 71st Frenach Internationals since 1925, and finally the 68th held in the magical setting of the Roland Garros Stadium.
