Ottawa The Story! The Buggy Conspiracy |
||
|
|
It began at
6am... bleary-eyed I stumbled to the bathroom.. I knew I
should have gone to bed before 1am! Frantically I checked and
rechecked my bags.. did I have everything.. no! damm! I'd forgotten
the kitchen sink! The drive to Gatwick was long and uneventful.. we reached there early so I had a choice of seats..I wanted a window one! I like to know where I'm going!
A nice man escorted me to the buggy that would take me to the flight gate... there was an elderly couple going there too - the gentleman was partially sighted.. he told them to get in the back of the buggy and motioned for me to sit beside him.. he took my bag and put it in the back.. We set off.. he continually asked if I was ok and patted my hand.. that was nice wasn't it
We got to the check point..he told the couple to get off and put their bags through the security machine..He took my arm and helped me down from the buggy.. picking up my bag he put it through the machine.. when we had shown our passports.. he told the couple to get back on with their bags and he took my bag to put on for me.. I helped the old gentleman! The nice man helped me back on the buggy.. I wondered what he was looking at and decided it must be the pattern on my dress 0 : )
After taking us to the gate.. reassuring me all the way.. the nice man told the couple to get off! and then he helped me down and settled me into the waiting lounge.. he found me a nice seat and went off to find out when the flight would board. After a while he came back and said it wouldn't be long.. I thanked him and he held my hands and smiled at me.. I said thank you again! He went away.. and came back a minute later to tell me it would be 10 minutes.. he held my hands again.. and smiled into my dress! so I gave him £5 to go away!
