KOH SAMUI
TRIP DONE IN APR 2002

Samui is Thailand’s third largest island with an area of 250 square Km. It is the largest of a group of 80 isles, many of them inhabited. Samui has nice white sand beaches, calm waters, coconut groves and is still forested. The island offers opportunities to cruise to nearby islands as Koh Tao and the Ang Thong Group. The climate is tropical and warm throughout the year. It is really hot from March to June. Best period to visit is from November to February.

Small, good hotel located on south Chaweng beach. Two rooms per bungalow equipped with TV and fridge. Bathrooms with shower, no bath. The hotel has a swimming pool and restaurant. The food was not spectacular as sometimes is mentioned in some folders, as the hotels’ cook moved to the Seascape Beach Resort nearby.

We booked the hotel via a travel agent at the domestic airport in Bangkok, what reduced the costs at 1800 Baht per night in the Songkran period.

DINING OUT EXPERIENCE

We went eating out on the beach at Seascape Beach Resort. Seafood was very tasty. Dining table set up in the sand a few meters from the waves. Afterwards laying down in Thai style savoring a Mai Tai or delicious Irish coffee, the sea tickinh at your feet. Can life be better?
