another day, another drummer...
what's this about then? well it's a little history of all the drummers that have played with and then left Travis Cut. (why? hmmm.)
Alex
Not much to say about Alex except that he is in a boy-band according to Mac. Doesn't like being asked to play with The Business. He had recorded the first album with the band, Serial Incompetence, but after a while things weren't right for Alex and he decided to leave. Things were looking bad for the tit rats, but unbeknownst to the lads was that there was hope. Lurking in a small US town was the former drummer of a Christian rock band and he wanted to come to a better place for a better life. So he went to fucking Harlow.
Bud
Known to his parents as Walton North the 3rd, this American turned up ready to breath new life in to the dying Travis Cut. Unfortunately he was based in Harlow with Mac and that is never going to be good for anyone's health (which it wasn't). So In the end Bud disappeared and that was that. He recorded on the next album, Seventh Inning Stretch. Anyhow, next came DISASTER......
(at some point before that, Alex made a brief appearance for The Business show. After this he vowed never to return.........)
Oscar Ball
Another strange one this, Bally was stolen from one of the worlds best ever bands (fair dinkum) by the two jokers that are Mac and Chris. Promised a life of luxury as the back bone to the Cut, Oscars life soon became a hectic schedule of non stop touring. It was during this touring that our two front men became aware of Oscars acute lack of ability at playing the drums. Up until now Ball had been playing with Fair Dinkum, but one 7" later the pressure of stardom was showing so they broke up and Oscar Joined the Cut. It's worth pointing out that he recorded on the Peel Sessions but is mainly remembered for backing vocals on Too much Kissing.
Jamie
Again Drummer-less after Oscar left for some reason or other, Travis Cut stole another drummer, this time it was quiet Jamie from Dwarf Antidote. Because Jamie was so scarily quiet the entire time I don't know anything about him, so lets move on to the next one.
Now we're getting some where. Tony has joined the band and is now the current drummer (20.6.01). He was in a band too, Caffeine, but again the sneaky duo got their next victim. He seems quite happy in there at the moment but it's not like they know how to keep drummers.
so that's the end of that then. If you want to become the next drummer for Travis cut, then send an e-mail to us and we'll try to sort something out for u.
