Quick experiment with a sharpie pen and some highlighters.
Character sketch from the same series as above.

The basis for this mask's shape was a motorcycle fender given to me by a friend. I added parts from model human skull and hand kits, as well as some moveable eyes and a sunglasses lens in the forehead to allow the wearer to see some. The skin and teeth are made from Mr. Zogg's Sex Wax that surfers put on their boards for traction.
I drew up these plans to build a stunt plane I dreamed up. The cross-section type shapes along the bottom were to help in creating lofting shapes for use in 3D Studio. I've included the image of the final 3D model here too. You can see this and other 3D models in "Area 3D".
This ape head was sketched for an image I am working on showing King Kong getting fired upon by a biplane.
These characters are for a movie idea I am doing production art for. I envision their robes being in burgandy, dark blue or black.
For the same movie idea, this little escape ship jettesons from a building just as it is being englufed in a huge explosion. The wings are folded under the fuselage before launch, then swing back and down once the little ship is airborne. The pilot is shown wearing a protective helmet since the cockpit is exposed.
I call this a "Fish fighter" because it looks like some sort of aquatic creature from the side. The engine pods on either side of the main body swing out and up and down to direct the ship.
