Expanding on the model used by their German allies, the Japanese developed their own version of flying car. These were not very manuverable, and faulty locking mechanisms made keeping bombs in the trunk impractical. Flying cars like the one pictured here (the Nakajima C7N "Meatball") were mostly used as Kamakazie attackers toward the end of the war. Upon detailed inspection, we can see the transmission of this vehicle has come loose just before the moment of impact.
