Souped-up Plastic Models

Action, Light, and Sound Messerschmitt 110

I connected motorized propellers, battle sounds, light-up cockpit instruments and navigation lights, to this 1/32 scale kit. It is one of my more complex models. In addition, it is well weathered, with the usual exhaust stains and chipping paint. I'm very proud of how the two man crew came out, but the photos are a little blurry. The base shown in the photos was a temporary one.

Light-up Millennium Falcon

This was the first kit I ever lit up. Features LED's purchased from Radio Shack shining down onto the gangplank and landing gear (when extended), interior cockpit lighting, and blinking navigation lights. Larger incandescent bulbs shine behind translucent blue plastic to simulate the engine blast. Through the cockpit windows, you can see miniature versions of Han, Chewie, C-3P0 and Princess Leia, a light-up hand-painted instrument panel and rear wall.
