The Place for Travis Getz' Trompe L'oeil

This was a blank door in my little sister, Kira's apartment. By blank, I mean it had a big piece of plywood nailed over it that was painted white. With her help painting the large blocks of color, we made it into something a little more appealing. The whole job, from planning to painting, took about 5 hours. I'm particularly proud that we were able to create such a convincing illusion with only 3 colors: black, green, and white (I only had an "after" picture, so I used Photoshop 4.0 to make a quick mock-up of what the door looked like before we'd painted it). She tells me that her cat has actually bonked himself on the head trying to go up the "steps"!
