I don't think CNN covered this aspect of the story. I stayed up in the early morning working on the M2000 page, and this came on over the news. It came off of ABC.
What is this all about? The news will obviously try to say this guy is a nutzo. But perhaps this story is worth pursuing. Antarctica would be an ideal place to clone humans.
"The incident began about 10 p.m. EDT at Terminal 4, Gate 33, according to the port authority." He was eventually led off the plane @ 3:30.
This is not the profile of a terrorist. It's the profile of someone really concerned. They did mention Cloning, Argentina, and also Antarctica... The passengers took off. The pilot and co-pilot weren't exactly hostages, he let them go. Some say he was angry, and others say he warned them. What we're looking at here is just the quelling of a one man rebellion against some kind of conspiracy.
The standoff lasted 5 hours. None of his demands were mentioned again. Not on TV, anyway. I know what I heard, and I'm not making it up. Cloning - Argentina - and Antarctica... This news will have to have a report.
More news about this guy.He was escorted from the plane by FBI agents. Definitely a coverup. While most people are worried about the security of the JFK airport, they shoudl probably look to the security of their World. A search of the internet led me to one page with seperate stories, not really related to this case but interesting if thery were related...

Those links are mentioned on that page. It's obvious why the FBI might take over in this case, especially if they have a vested interest to cover something up. Human cloning is supposed to be "illegal," but this news states that Britain wants to do it. Cloning isn't internationally illegal. So it could be possible in, say, Antarctica. Why do it there? Possibly in case something goes wrong.

Always on top of this story. I think that he knew something was up. I think that he did something desperate, unneccesary. But his actions are certainly to get something out into the open, while it is the media and the laws job to discredit him by labeling him insane. But it was obvious that this is why we need Miriad, so that we (the people who know too much) do not do anything desperate like this and we can pool our resources...
Still searching for more on this story. I don't beleive anything the government says, nor the media. Why should I?
Varous reports delete certain words and facts. Was he troubled or did he know what was going on? Our only recourse is to find out from Argentina... but the incompetent police of our country and the hopeless FBI will never follow up on what this boy knows, they're too involved in looking like heros and good PR for their sheep. They only care about prosecuting people and putting them in overcrowded prisons than trying to get to the bottom of anything. Another reason for Miriad.

Could this person NOT be crazy, then? There are bases in Antarctica, as well. Those are concerned with communicating to the other projects. The Traveller brings to you what he heard early in the morning of July 28th. Negotiators talked this "peaceful guy". He didn't exactly have any hostages. He demanded to speak to the Argentinian Consulate. News leaked that he was concerned about human cloning by Americans. He was demanding to be taken to Antarctica. This was only said once.
“He seemed calm but nervous. I think he’s approaching the reality of what he’s done,” said Robert Boyle, executive director of the Port Authority, which runs the airport. “I think he’s very scared.”
Comey [the gunman?] has in the past few days had contact with the Argentine embassy — but Boyle did not elaborate on what the contact entailed.
Beatrice Bustos, an on-duty officer for the Argentine Consulate confirmed that a police detective had called her Thursday night seeking to contact Argentine Ambassador Guillermo McGough. She said she passed the message on to McGough, but had no further information.
He said the gunman speaks English with no accent. When asked to paint a mental picture, he said Comey asked to go to Antarctica.
“There is a connection with Argentina,” he said.
“He didn’t demand to go to Antarctica, I think he said ‘I want to go to Antarctica,’” said Boyle.

"The FBI identified the alleged gunman as Aaron Commey, age 22."
For what reason does a 22 year old storm onto a plane that's headed for Nevada, demand to speak to the Argentinian consulate, and then say he wants to be taken to Antarctica?
Sources told CNN the man had called the Argentine embassy on several occasions in recent weeks.
Aaron Amartei Commey was joined only by his attorney at his arraignment hearing Friday in Brooklyn, when Judge A. Simon Chrien ordered a complete psychiatric evaluation performed on the 22-year-old man within 30 days.
Chrien said that, although the defendant did not have a police record, Commey "has announced that he has had some problems, and some of them may be exercises in fantasies in his past ... maybe."
Looking dazed, Commey made a brief appearance Friday in federal court, where he was ordered held without bail on charges of attempted aircraft piracy, which carries a maximum of 20 years in prison. Prosecutor Seth Levine called the crime "brazen and calculated."
