WHEELS AND TIRES
Wheels and tires are the legs and feet of your car.  If you do not have quality you will not perform.  With this understanding I went out researching what tires and wheels would work best for my truck.  Originally I went with 33X12.5 ProComp MT’s.  These tires are good but at a relatively high price.  I also chose some black rock crawler steel rims.  These rims are strong and look good on my black rig.  I chose steel because they allow for some strength and they are cheep to replace if destroyed.  The big negatives of steel are that they are pretty much inflexible, they tend to burr, and they rust.  Oh well, these are trade offs I am willing to take.  Anyway, I asked around and did some research and it would seem that if you are going to drive your rig on the road and off the road the Wrangler MT/R is the way to go.  They have decent mileage, and allow for stable highway speeds while retaining excellent off-road characteristics and allowing for use of low psi.  So far I have really been impressed with the tires, they do offer excellent off-road traction as well as a relatively quiet on road experience.

CAUTION!

If you are planning on running anything larger than a 31" tire on your 2nd gen rodeo you will have to do some trimming.  Greater offset rims cause more rubbing on the fender.  Larger tires cause more rubbing also.  With the 33's I had to trim the rear of the front fender wells in about 2".  Without major trimming I would never have been able to fit 35" tires (almost all of the fender flare).  The SAS fixed allot of these problems due to the relocation of the axles.
