	With over a dozen years of performing and teaching Austrian, German and Swiss folk dances as the founding leaders of the Alpine Dancers & Singers, the Traxlers are well acquainted with many occasions for folk dance performance and instruction throughout the greater Washington, DC area. From Oktoberfests to multi-cultural Festivals, we are acquainted with suitable performance groups, musicians, vendors, and other individuals needed in putting on a high quality event. Cultural Events. We maintain a frequently-updated list of cultural events in the greater Washington area. We welcome you to send us information about your events to be considered for inclusion. Cultural Organizations. We maintain a list of cultural organizations in the greater Washington area, including dance groups, bands, musicians, and social and cultural/educational groups. You may check their individual web sites or phone numbers; feel free to contact us for additional information about any of them. Alpine Dancers & Singers. With our own groups we perform Austrian, German and Swiss dances as the Alpine Dancers, and we provide vocal and instrumental musical entertainment for Advent and Christmas and all seasons in German and in Austrian dialect with the Alpine Singers.
	With the experience of having taught the Viennese waltz to many hundreds in the Washington area in the Austrian Embassy, the Smithsonian, the White House, and Meridian House, the Traxlers bring to new dancers the exhilarating experience of the Viennese waltz as it is danced in Austria. We are available for Viennese waltz instruction and performance. We can provide choreography and training for a cotillion (Eröffnungskomitee) to open a Grand Ball. We can help you plan a Grand Ball or other elegant event. We can help you plan a Viennese style "Heurigen" or other wine tastings or cultural festivals. We can help you locate artists or performers for your event.
