| May 2001, our first camping trip together. We fished, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and did some exploring of Land Between the Lakes. The above and right picture were in our camp site. IT was so peaceful. We truly did 'rough' it on this trip...ie no showers or bathrooms!! |

| I was in charge of all fire making duties for this trip, and I did a great job..haha. Not only did we roast hotdogs, but I burned corn on the cob to a crisp and baked some killer potatoes. I also made a vegetable stew the second day that the best I have ever eaten. I only wish I had gotten a picture of how I rigged it so the pot hung over the fire. |
| Someone had left this great stick a the camp site (which I burned trying to make my stew) but we used it to hold our hot dogs and marshmallows....the skewers I brought were just a tad too short for my roaring fire. |
| Although we fished all day, Mike only caught two small fish, which we let go. We also took turns lounging in our hammock, the picture of me in the hammock is out of focus, as are the ones of us setting up the tent....It is a pretty new camera to us..haha. |
