the soul of

Tyler Reed Band:

Adam Tyler Reed was born on July 3rd, 1979. From  the moment he came into this world, he knew that music would be a huge part of his life. Tyler first realized his desire to play music when he first heard his older brother play the piano at age four. Tyler desperately wanted to release the musical desire inside him, and began training in classical piano at age six. After ten years of piano, Tyler decided he needed a change. He enjoyed the piano, but did not feel the passion that he felt from hearing the guitar. At age sixteen, Tyler received his first guitar and began learning from the masters he loved: such greats as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Albert Collins, Albert King, Freddie King, and Muddy Waters just to name a few. Since then, he has acquired many more influences which have helped him mold his sound and have driven him to always keep trying to be better than the best. These influences include Ian Moore, Wes Jeans, Chris Duarte, and Johnny Lang. After leaving his hometown of Dallas, Texas, Tyler moved to Nacogdoches, Texas, where while attending Stephen F. Austin State University, he met drummer Dusty Baldree, and bassist Jeff Pyer. Tyler then started playing Texas Blues in East Texas with his band, Dirty Pool. Although Tyler loved East Texas, he knew that there were many more doors of opportunity in the live music capitol of the world: Austin, Texas. At twenty years old, while living in Austin, Tyler met phenomenal bassist, Bradley Oliver, and the ever-powerful drummer Jamie Krueger. They compliment each other amazingly, and are quickly becoming known in Central Texas as "no nonsense Texas Blues". If you have a chance to see them live --- DO!!! You won't want to miss the raw energy and passion that radiates off the stage and into your soul.

Bradley has been a student of music since age four, and it all started with the beat. Over the last 14 years, that primitive beat has turned into an indelible groove, which allows him to get deep into the flow of a tune. He studied piano for the past 11 years, and has played the bass for nearly 6 years. Though he will always call San Antonio his home, Austin fits him like a glove. Soon, 6th Street patrons will be feeling the funk that will be radiating from his 5-string Carvin. Although he has worked hard and studied much, Bradley wouldn't be where he is without the help of Jesus Christ, his Lord. That's the Tyler Reed Band's "Boo Radley."

Jamie Krueger is a musician among musicians. A native Austinite, Jamie is no stranger to the music scene. After playing guitar in such bands as Grain, Soul Stew, and Monk's Mountain in his teens, Jamie formed his own group called The Jamie Krueger Group. Still going strong as a guitar player, Jamie had been playing drums on the side for about six or seven years. Looking for a project to hone his drum skills, Jamie met Tyler and Bradley in the Fall of 1999, and everything instantly clicked. Completing the other half of an incredible rhythm section, Jamie nails down an incredible groove, while accentuating the amazing bass stylings of Bradley Oliver. Now, at twenty-five years old, Jamie is making his name not only as an excellent guitar player, but also as a phenomenal drummer, and an all-around superb musician. Being an intrical part of Tyler Reed Band, Jamie's tight chops never fade, as he completes the mold of electrifying Texas Blues. If you want to hear a REAL Texas Shuffle, listen to Jamie Krueger.
