Regular Issue Dolls

In 1980 the first line of these regular dolls were released.  They included:  Apple, Apricot, Blueberry muffin,              Huckleberry pie, Lemon meringue, Orange blossom,          Raspberry tart, and Strawberry shortcake herself, and the   Purple pieman.  Only Apricot, Apple, and Purplie pieman    had pets, and Blueberry, Strawberry, and Huck had flat      hands.                                                                            In 1981 Kenner gave pets to each doll and added ten    more dolls (5 of which were the International friends).  The flat handed dolls were made with curved hands, and 19 characters in all were being produced.
