DePAMPHILIS FAMILY CLERGY

Pope Innocent X

Giovanni Battista Pamphili

Francesco "Don Ciccio" DePamphilis

Raffaella "Zia Lina" DePamphilis

Several members of the DePamphilis family have chosen to dedicate their lives to the Catholic Church. These are the three members that I know of. Don Ciccio was the pastor of the Madonna della Neve church in Bugnara. He was a great humanitarian and was loved by all of his parishioners in Bugnara. Raffaella ("Zia Lina") dedicated her life to God and to all of the young children that she taught in Colefero near Rome.

When we visited Rome in 1999, we had the opportunity to visit the Villa Doria Pamphili and the Galleria Doria Pamphilj where this famous portrait of Pope Innocent X by Diego Velazquez hangs. There is also a church on the Piazza Navona called St. Agnes of Agone which belonged to the family and was offered to the Rome diocese in 1992.
