First Card of the Day here. And, fittingly, it's my first powerhouse now and forever, Summoned Skull.

Pros

  • Great attack score for a little bit
  • Fuses to become a bigger, badder monster
  • Easier to get
  • A Fiend

Cons

  • Low Defense
  • Out of print

  • Well, let's dive right in. 2500 attack for one tribute makes it the monster of choice over Dark Magician. Plus, with the set designed to protect and power up Fiends coming to us in the next few days, I think that this card has a future in deck for a while. It also fuses with Red-Eyes Black Dragon to become Black Skull Dragon (Yes, I don't abbreviate 'black' like the cards do), a 3200 powerhouse with a good defense score. Of course, both Summoned Skull and Black Skull Dragon are so big, they rarely need to appear in Defence mode unless Mirror Wall or something forces them for the better. The Summoned Skull card also comes in the Yugi Starter Deck, which pretty much all of us have had at some point in our dueling lives, so, not really a difficult thing to get. In fact, it's harder to get rid of a Summoned Skull than get one. However, the Yugi Starter Deck is out-of-print, so, if you're just now getting into the game, it will be a bit harder to get one. Also, Summoned Skull has a low defense score. But, like I said, WHY WOULD YOU PUT THIS IN DEFENSE?!?!?! Honestly, if you are really in such trouble you need defense monsters, you need to throw one out that won't kill exsisting monsters!!!! But, I digress, Summoned Skull is a steady card with a future in decks for a few more sets.

Limited Rating: 10/5 (A strong monster in sealed is worth the entire deck you build!!!)
