Hobbies: Music (Plays piano and trombone), Singing, Reading, Playing Sherlock Holmes in the Holodeck

Personality: Friendly, outgoing, caring, funny. Lately, he's started working with the younger members of the senior staff to train them to be better officers.

Comments: Avi is a special person. He cares greatly for his work, and his upbeat personality makes all those around him feel comfortable with him. I once heard a story of him taking his whole SF Engineering team into the Holodeck for one of his famous Sherlock Holmes adventures, all thirty of them!

Avi's versatility shows in all of his work. He's able to draw from all of his experiences to make a complete officer. His Sherlock mysteries are the best example. He spent all of his non-bridge shifts programming the Holodeck for the mystery just to make it perfect. He was able to incorporate Norse Mythology, Taoism, Vulcan and Cardassian histories all into one trip into the Holodeck. I was amazed!

Avi told me once that his dream is to play piano or trombone on stage with his former band from Israel. He still plays now, and has written a few songs that he plays now and again at the Traveller's Rest with Query (from the Pegasus) and his younger friend Navin Kotery from the USS Orion. I really believe that he will do it someday. With Regards, Dr. Marlin Walters, Chief Counselor, Nilo 5 Research Center

Addition from Lt. Commander Query Neile, USS Pegasus: Avi once confided in me that his biggest problem was that he never felt the urge to stay at a job for more than two years or so. He was on the Pegasus for a year or so, SF:ENG for a little more than two years, and USS Orion for a little more than a year and a half or so. He never tried to stay somewhere for long. He was always afraid that something would catch up with him, but he never let on what it's all about. I don't really believe that there's anything there, but who knows? I'm sure that once he finds the right crew, he'll fit right in.

Addition from Captain Da'ChoH, USS Capricorn: Avi is a truly special officer. He has experiences that some only dream about. He was CEO, CMO, PI and then FCO-trainer all within the span of a week, and he's never been certified in either investigation or Flight Control! His love for his work and incredible dedication shone through during his time with me. I only wish that I could have found a permanent spot for him while I was there.

Background:

Family:

History:

Avi was moved around a lot as a kid. He moved from the Middle Eastern region of Earth, to SSE1, to Vulcan for a year, then finally back to earth, where Avi entered medical school. He always had a knack for medicine and science, so it wasn't much of a transition from Medicine to Operations, and then again to Engineering. It was in his operations classes that he met Query Neile. Query was two years behind Avi, who had already finished two years of Medicine and Engineering classes, but they both became quite involved in a heated battle for number one in the Ops department.

When Avi graduated, he was assigned to the USS Pegasus as the Chief of Operations. After a few months, Avi was transferred back to Starfleet Headquarters: Engineering, and promoted to Lt. (jg). While there, he heard that the famed Nexus had taken Query. He was crestfallen to hear about his friend, but he continued on with his research just to keep busy.

After Avi finished his last project in SF Engineering, he moved back home to his kibbutz in Israel for some rest and to think about what's really important. He always strove to be a CMO, and his transfer to the USS Orion gave him that chance. During his time there, he was promoted twice while holding multiple positions until he was finally promoted to the Executive Officer slot after the mysterious "Games of Beta Draconia" mission.

Soon after, his fellow shipmates and the shipmates from the USS Sabre merged crews aboard the USS Orion and Admiral Judi D'Arque transferred Avi to the USS Capricorn of the Diamond Fleet. Aboard the USS Capricorn, he has bounced from position to position. At first, he started out as the CEO, then was moved quickly to the CMO position as the CMO recovered from illness, until he found his niche as the Mission Specialist where he trained younger officers and was a "jack-of-all-trades" throughout the ship.

Recently, there was a major overhaul of the Diamond Fleet, and Avi was promoted to Commanding Officer of the Capricorn, a ship he's only served aboard for one mission.
