Hobbies: Tre-Hani has the typically sweet singing voice of her race. She also plays a Trinoan lyre. While at Starfleet Academy, she was found to have an aptitude for table tennis. She loves jewellery and nice clothes etc, and shares the typically Trinoan fondness for fur

Personality: Tre-Hani (Hani is the 'personal version' only used by friends. 'Tre' is a 'descriptive' name. In her case, it means 'curious' (as in 'finding out', rather than 'weird', though the latter probably still applies!). She also has a family name, which she only uses when with other Trinoans.

Like most Trinoans, Tre-Hani has a very starry-eyed view of life. She always wants to make friends and believe the best of people. Tre-Hani's cabin is *full* of an amazing variety of plants - some carnivorous. She likes the extra oxygen they produce, and besides, she feels a kind of affinity towards them. She has a particularly favourite 'pet', resembling a fern, which sits on her shoulder. It does not have a name, and she refers to it as ‘my plant’. She is protective of it, but should any harm befall it, she has plenty of clones of it in her cabin. In fact, she enjoys creating different versions of 'her plant' with different characteristics.

History:

Age: 0-80, idyllic childhood. Tre-Hani showed an aptitude for life sciences, and was marked for a promising career as a plant geneticist. The Federation 'discovery' of Trinoa came when Tre-Hani was about 120. From the ages of 81-160 she studied at various colleges, studying botany, cellular biology, horticulture, biogeography etc, excelling at all she did. When Se-Mari was 160, she was selected as one of the first five Trinoans to enter training to become Starfleet officers.

Tre-Hani sailed through her training, coping easily with the academic subjects, while her sunny nature protected her from homesickness or loneliness for her race. She does, however, find other races supremely confusing, and their often violent emotions unnerving and even frightening. She has also found herself thinking some awfully 'un-Trinoan' thoughts. But Tre-Hani kept these concerns to herself, for fear of jeopardising her Starfleet career, and creating an unfavourable impression of Trinoans.

Tre-Hani became a popular student, simply by 'being herself'. Some of the male students found her attractive. She was also attracted to some of them, but their powerful and frightening emotions always scared her away from any lasting relationships. She had the ability to defuse conflicts, and was generally nice to be with. (Though strangely, when she was not around, many people couldn't quite explain quite *why* they did like her, as she could say some supremely irritating things!)
