The last remaining photograph of Gordon "Specs" Macpherson. Mysteriously all photographs and film archive material of Macpherson have gone missing over the past 10 years. In February of 1997 Roy "Styx" Campbells car was broken into and the earliest known recordings of The Trees were stolen. The tapes included "Go for Goal", Macphersons damning inditement of the capitalist system. Many believe Macpherson is still alive intent on reaping revenge on the capitalist system that so cruely dismissed him as a failure. "I believe he is still alive" maintains Campbell "I found a fagbut and the remains of a mockchop supper on the passenger seat."

Probably the angriest young man of his generation, Macpherson sang about poverty, unemployment and social injustice. This made him public enemy number one - especially with the Thatcher and Major governments. It is no coincidence that his disappearance coincided with the current beef crisis.
