Associated splinter gigs/groups:
IMPOTENT TROUT Formed out of the remains of the Trees the band featured "Boring" Al who's trumpet was a constant source of amusement. Rat also recalls a man called Hugh around the IMPOTENT TROUT era. "Hugh, singer come guitarist come fucking busy body..nobody liked him"
HOLBURN BAR - fabulous gig where Specs breaks down crying because Stroma leaves him. Of course Styx's incensitivity doesn't help matters by shouting "Ahhhh she's left yi".
At around this time HEPPLE WHITE (Rat, Styx, Lins,Specs, Andy "poofy" Schofield and two birds) are formed. Although never really recognised as a serious outfit, Styx vents his apetite for songwriting and singing. "Boring" Alasdair recieves his first blow-job whilst watching Blue Velvet by one of the Hepple White backing vocalists (it's a shame he did'nt ask her to blow
his trumpet!)
Andy Schofield describes David and Gordon as "The two most difficult
people he has ever worked with".
COOTERS - 'He's a fine figure of a man' - Specs,Dave,Styx and Linz (a local carpenter)
STEVE RANSOM PROJECT - 'Since You Went Away' - Rat, Styx, Andy 'fingers' Gordon
CANYON Dave, Styx, Tombolo, Cloudia "Country 'n Westrin"
TRUSSED..."up like a chicken" featuring Normski on vocals "a local romantic crooner"
SHE SAID...enough said
BINGO - Dave,Styx,Tombolo,Dom. The era when a picture of the three remaining Beatles was published in The Sun and Tombolo quotes, "Dave, Malc and Roy" where's Gordon? This was very significant to the disappearance and rumoured death of McPherson.
CHAIR...fusion of country, dance, techno, thrash, beat and Alasdair
