There was a good turn-up for this end of season friendly that was played out in the howling wind at Warner on Sunday afternoon. The A team took the kick-off, but had to play into the wind, which proved to be a great hindrance. The B team took an early lead after Michael Gekas took a long range shot which floated over the helpless Tim Shaw. The A team struggled to get back into the match, but the B team furthered their lead with another long range effort from Francois. As half time approached the A team kept pushing forward and it eventually payed off as they recorded their first goal.

After the half time break, the B team had to face the wind. This caused difficulty when they tried to get the ball up the other end and it lead to two more goals for the A team. 3-2 behind and needing another goal, the B team put in an extra effort and managed to get an amazing goal through Jim. Shortly after this the whistle blew for half time.

A penalty shootout followed as the score was tied at 3-3. After approximately nine penalties a side, the A team were declared winners 5-4.

After the match, both teams enjoyed a sausage sizzle to finish off the season.
