Yahoo is, I find, to be the easiest and best search engine because it covers so many areas.
INFO-SEEK The Best Search Engine there is!!
Alta Vista Another very good search engine.
Highway 61 Slow sight but good
SurfPoint - Uses many different search engines
Webcrawler
Hot Bot Search Engine
Excite
All In One is a collection of a hundred different engines at the same spot.
Search for people at the University of Saskatchewan search
