FADE IN:
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The starship - flying with warp speed - is still surrounded
by the Suliban.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE (OPTICAL)
T'Pol is in command. Mayweather's at the conn, Hoshi at the
comm station. Reed sits - as usual - at tactical. Trip at the
engineer's station.
REED
They're still targeting our
warp core!
T'POL
Mr. Mayweather is there any
chance for us to escape?
TRIP
You want to leave the captain
on that Suliban ship?
T'POL
(ignoring Trip)
Mr. Mayweather?
MAYWEATHER
(checking his sensors)
There's no way trough, Sub
commander.
The comm beeps again.
HOSHI
They're hailing us again.
T'POL
On screen!
Silik appears on the screen, helming his ship.
SILIK (ON SCREEN)
I give you one last chance,
Sub-commander.
T'POL
As I already told you, Captain
Archer is no longer aboard
Enterprise.
SILIK (ON SCREEN)
In this case: Prepare to be
destroyed!
T'POL
If you don't believe me, you
should come aboard Enterprise
and see it for yourself.
Silik thinks for a moment. Then:
SILIK
Prepare to be boarded!
End transmission, Silik disappears from the screen, now
showing the Suliban ships again, which are now closing.
REED
Suliban ships are closing.
T'POL
Mr. Reed. - Have armed
security teams stand ready on
all decks.
REED
Yes, sir.
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
as the Suliban ships are closing:
CUT TO:
EXT. EARTH - DESTROYED CITY - DAY (OPTICAL)
We're now back in the 31st century.
INT. EARTH - DESTROYED CITY - DANIEL'S FLAT - DAY (OPTICAL)
Archer and Daniels are still in the destructed flat of
Archer's former officer.
ARCHER
Now, what are you planning to
do, Daniels?
DANIELS
I have no idea, sir.
ARCHER
Well, then I'll give you an
idea: How about trying to find
a way to send me back in my
time?
DANIELS
I thought I made myself very
clear, captain. - There is no
way to. - The order to get you
from your ship and to bring
you here has corrupted the
timeline I knew.
(points outside through
the broken windows)
Take a look around, captain.
What you can see out there is
the only thing left of the
31st century.
ARCHER
That can't be, there must be
something left!
DANIELS
Jonathan. It is not!
OFF Archer's reaction:
FADE OUT...

ACT ONE
FADE IN:
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The Suliban ships are starting the docking sequence. Two
ships dock at the outer air lock, two others are heading for
the launch bay.
INT. ENTERPRISE - CORRIDOR - AIR LOCK
T'Pol and Trip are standing in front of the air lock, waiting
for the Suliban entering the ship.
Trip opens the air lock and four Suliban soldiers step
through it. One of them is Silik.
SILIK
(to T'Pol)
I assume you are not armed,
Sub-commander.
T'POL
We are not.
SILIK
I hope this also applies to
the rest of your crew.
T'POL
It does.
TRIP
Are you here to question us?
Go, look for Captain Archer,
see that he's not aboard, so
that you can leave Enterprise
as soon as possible.
INT. ENTERPRISE - SICKBAY (OPTICAL)
Phlox is just treating a male officer with plasma burnings,
when two armed Suliban soldiers storm in, aiming at Phlox an
the Crewman.
SULIBAN #1
Where's your captain?
PHLOX
(without stop treating the
officer)
As far as I know, Captain
Archer is no longer aboard
Enterprise.
SULIBAN #1
Stop what you're doing!
PHLOX
(continues treating the
officer)
I can't.
SULIBAN #1
You will, or I'll kill you!
Phlox turns to the Suliban.
PHLOX
(pointing at the officer)
This man has second degree
plasma burnings. He needs to
be treated!
Suliban #1 fires his weapon killing the officer.
SULIBAN #1
Not any more. - Now tell me:
Where is your captain?
INT. ENTERPRISE - ENGINEERING
T'Pol and Trip showing Silik and one other Suliban soldier
(Suliban #3) around.
Suliban #3 is taking scans.
SILIK
(to Suliban #3)
And?
SULIBAN #3
The same here. - Archer is not
in this section.
T'POL
As I told you.
SILIK
(to T'Pol)
Has anybody ever told you your
know-all manner can be quiet
irritating?
T'POL
No.
SILIK
It is. - So keep your mouth
shut until I tell you
otherwise!
(to Suliban #3)
Are you sure, he is not here?
SULIBAN #3
Absolutely, sir.
SILIK
Alright. Then let's check the
next section.
As T'Pol, Trip, Silik and Suliban #2 leave engineering:
CUT TO:
EXT. EARTH - DESTROYED CITY - DANIEL'S FLAT - DAY (OPTICAL)
as before.
ARCHER
How can you be so damn sure of
that? - Just because this city
has been destroyed doesn't
mean there is no 31st century
left.
DANIELS
Not for earth and not for the
federation.
ARCHER
If there's nothing left... how
can you be here? How can I be
here?
DANIELS
The temporal transporting
device must have protected us
from the changes.
ARCHER
If that device protected us,
then what the hell happened to
that device?
DANIELS
It never existed.
ARCHER
You're trying to tell me that
device protected us, but
wasn't able to protect
himself?
DANIELS
No, he never existed.
ARCHER
(angry)
Then why the hell are we here?
DANIELS
I can't tell you. - The
mechanisms of time travelling
are very complex. It would
take to long to explain.
ARCHER
(points out of the broken
windows)
Well, if what you're saying is
true we have nothing more, but
a lot of time.
DANIELS
It's some kind of temporal
paradox. My changing the time
line changed the entire
history without changing it
all, but most parts.
ARCHER
(understanding almost
nothing)
Okay, that wasn't a very good
idea.
DANIELS
The temporal mechanics is very
complicated, Captain. I think
it'll suffice if I say that we
are here for and the time
portal isn't.
ARCHER
Okay, I don't want to claim
something of temporal
mechanisms to understand but
are you sure?
DANIELS
(sarcastic)
No, I was just making jokes.
(angry)
Of course I am sure, Captain!
Archer thinks over it.
ARCHER
You once told me time travel
was invented... - when? - in
the 26th century?
DANIELS
Approximately.
Archer looks out of the windows.
ARCHER
When I look at these buildings
I'd say they were destructed
about...
(beat; thinking)
... one hundred years ago?
DANIELS
I suppose that might be
correct.
ARCHER
If that's true, there must be
some time portals left on this
planet. - Some that were build
before the planet was
destroyed. - We just have to
find one of them and I can
return to the 22nd century and
try my luck with the Suliban.
DANIELS
Under the prerequisite that it
wasn't destroyed with town...
ARCHER
Come on, Daniels. - You're too
pessimistic.
CUT TO:
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
as before.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
Hoshi and Mayweather at their stations, the rest of the
senior staff is not on the bridge.
The turbolift's doors glide open an T'Pol, Trip, Silik and
Suliban #3 enter the bridge. Suliban #3 starts his scans.
SULIBAN #3
(to all)
Leave your consoles!
Hoshi and Mayweather look to T'Pol who nods: "You've heard
him". - So the two stand up.
Suliban #3 scans every centimeter of the bridge. - Silik and
the bridge officers watch him doing this.
SULIBAN #3 (CONT'D)
He's not here.
Silik sees for T'Pol with a pervading look.
SILIK
Where is Captain Archer?
T'Pol is silent.
SILIK (CONT'D)
(shouts)
Answer me!
T'POL
As I have told you several
times: The captain is not on
board.
SILIK
Bad luck for you.
(to a small comm device)
We leave.
Silik and Suliban #3 leave the bridge.
Hoshi and Mayweather take their stations again. Trip takes
over tactical, while T'Pol sits down in the captain's chair.
She presses the comm button.
T'POL
T'Pol to Lt. Reed.
REED
(comm voice)
Go ahead.
T'POL
The Suliban are returning to
their ships. - Try to capture
Silik.
REED
(comm voice)
We'll do our best, Sub
commander.
T'POL
If you fail the Suliban will
most likely destroy the ship,
Lieutenant. - T'Pol out.
(to Trip)
Mr. Tucker, prepare to
polarize the hull plating and
target the aft and forward
torpedoes.
INT. ENTERPRISE - CORRIDOR - AIR LOCK (OPTICAL)
Reed and two security guards are hiding in the air lock,
holding their weapons ready to fire.
REED
(whispers)
Set phase pistols to stun.
The two guards and Reed adjust their weapons.
From the corridor Silik and four other Suliban are closing.
REED (CONT'D)
(to the guards,
whispering)
Fire!
The starfleet officers fire at the Suliban and stun them.
Reeds opens his communicator.
REED (CONT'D)
(to the communicator)
Reed to bridge.
T'POL
(comm voice)
Yes, Lieutenant.
REED
(to the communicator)
We've got him.
T'POL
(comm voice)
Understood. - Proceed with
phase two, Lieutenant.
REED
(to the communicator)
Okay. Reed out.
(closes is communicator,
puts it away; to the
guards, pointing at Silik
and the other Suliban)
Arrest them.
GUARD #1
Aye, Sir.
While the guards go to the Suliban, Reed enters the Suliban
vessel.
INT. SULIBAN VESSEL
Reed sits down to the helm. He gets his communicator and
opens it.
REED
(to the communicator)
Ready.
T'POL
(comm voice)
Launch the vessel immediately,
otherwise the Suliban will be
suspicious.
REED
(to the communicator)
Understood. - Starting launch
procedure.
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
Reeds Suliban vessel sails of the Enterprise and goes back
into formation with the other Suliban ships.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
as before.
TRIP
He's gone.
T'POL
(to comm)
Mr. Reed. Order the Suliban
vessels to deactivate their
weapons.
REED
(comm voice)
Yes, Sub-commander.
(beat)
The message's out.
TRIP
Let's hope they'll swallow it.
In this moment the Enterprise is hit by a Suliban torpedo.
T'POL
I suppose they did not
"swallow" it.
Enterprise is hit again. Harder this time. Consoles explode.
INT. SULIBAN VESSEL
as before.
Reed's ship is hit as well.
REED
(to the communicator;
shouts)
They've got me!!!
The vessel trembles.
EXT. SPACE (OPTICAL)
Reed's vessel is hit again and explodes!
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
as before.
TRIP
(shocked)
They've shot Malcolm!
Another hit!
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The Enterprise is under heavy fire. Suliban torpedoes and
disruptor beams hit the ship, damaging its outer hull.
The Suliban vessels attack once more, targeting Enterprise's
warp core and the nacelles.
Enterprise fires back and destroys two of the Suliban
vessels. - Not enough! The other vessels continue their
assault and destroy the Enterprise!!!
OFF the giant explosion:
FADE OUT...
END OF ACT ONE
ACT TWO
FADE IN:
EXT. EARTH - DESTROYED CITY - EVENING (OPTICAL)
With this establishing shot we start the second act of our
season premier.
INT. EARTH - DESTROYED CITY - MUSEUM OF TIME - EVENING
This building is at least as bad damaged as the one Daniels'
flat is in.
Archer and Daniels enter the museum and make their way
through the rubble and the ashes.
DANIELS
Call me pessimistic, but I
doubt there is anything able
to work in here.
ARCHER
I'm sure you're able to repair
the time portal, once we've
found it.
DANIELS
I am not an engineer, captain.
I'm simply a temporal officer.
ARCHER
Come on, Daniels. You'll make
it.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. EARTH - DESTROYED CITY - MUSEUM OF TIME - PORTAL CHAMBER
- LATE EVENING (OPTICAL)
This room is ruined as well. In the middle of the room stands
a great ring. The first temporal portal build on earth. It's
more than 400 years old.
Daniels is working the portal, while Archer's watching him.
Waiting for Daniel finishing the repairs.
ARCHER
(bored)
Daniels?
DANIELS
This is very complicated,
captain. - I have to
concentrate.
ARCHER
Never mind.
DANIELS
You know, captain, I envy you.
ARCHER
Me?
DANIELS
You're living in such a nice
time. No greater conflicts. It
is still much to find out and
to learn.
ARCHER
(adds)
Vulcans who tell you what to
do and what not to do. - An
alien race called Suliban who
gets orders from the distant
future to chance history. -
Klingons in every second
nebula...
(ironic)
What a time!
DANIELS
But in your time mankind still
can discover so much. - New
worlds and new civilizations. -
You're making history with...
ARCHER
(interrupts; continues his
sentence)
... every light-year. - You
don't know how often my father
said those words to me.
DANIELS
Actually, I know, captain.
ARCHER
Oh yes, of course. I forgot.
DANIELS
So. - That's it.
Daniels stands up and goes to a near console.
DANIELS (CONT'D)
It should work now.
ARCHER
Well, then don't waste time,
Daniels.
Daniels presses some buttons on the console, activating the
portal. A great temporal burst comes out of it.
Archer is flung through the room, landing hard on the floor
some meters away from the portal. He dazedly gets up and goes
back to Daniels.
ARCHER (CONT'D)
What the hell was that?
DANIELS
A temporal burst. - Sorry.
ARCHER
No problem. - I really missed
these little space flights.
(re: portal)
Is it working?
DANIELS
As far as I can tell you, it
is working. - But I can't tell
you for how long. If you want
to go through it you should do
it soon.
Archer nods and heads for the portal.
DANIELS (CONT'D)
Captain, wait!
Archer stops and turns to Daniels.
ARCHER
What is it, Daniels?
DANIELS
This portal is more than 400
years old, captain. It is very
well possible that there will
be problems during the
transfer. - Maybe you'll die.
ARCHER
I'm willing to take this risk.
(adds)
I have to.
DANIELS
The portal is set to bring you
back in time to a few seconds
after I brought you here.
ARCHER
Understood.
DANIELS
I'm sure, we'll meet again,
captain.
ARCHER
I look forward to it.
Archer turns around and steps through the portal, leaving
Daniels alone in the temporal chamber.
FLASHCUT TO:
INT. ENTERPRISE - TURBOLIFT
The lift door opens and archer steps out into the corridor.
INT. ENTERPRISE - CORRIDOR
Archer goes through the corridor, heading for the air lock
where the Suliban vessel is docked. - He opens it.
OFF Archer leaving Enterprise:
CUT TO:
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
T'Pol is in command. Mayweather's at the conn, Hoshi at the
comm station. Reed sits - as usual - at tactical. Trip at the
engineer's station.
REED
The captain has boarded the
Suliban ship.
MAYWEATHER
The vessel's initiating the
launch procedure.
REED
Shall I stop it?
T'POL
No! Let it go.
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
while the Suliban vessel launches from the Enterprise and
flies back into the formation.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE (OPTICAL)
as before.
HOSHI
We are being hailed. - It's
Silik.
T'POL
On screen.
Once more Silik appears on the screen, piloting his vessel.
SILIK (ON SCREEN)
It was a pleasure making
business with you, Sub
commander. I'm sure we will
meet again.
T'POL
You should not doubt that.
Silik grins. Then he ends the transmission.
REED
The Suliban ships a leaving.
T'POL
Ensign Mayweather, set in a
pursuit...
T'Pol is interrupted by a sudden hit.
T'POL (CONT'D)
Report!
TRIP
The Suliban fired at our
starboard nacelle.
MAYWEATHER
We're dropping out of warp!
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
while the ship drops out of warp and starts to drift.
CUT TO:
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. SULIBAN HELIX (OPTICAL)
It's the helix we know from part one.
The Suliban vessels that were pursuiting Enterprise are
closing and finally dock.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - CORRIDOR
Silik walks through the corridor, followed by three Suliban
soldiers and the tied Archer. They are leading the
Enterprise's captain to the station's brig.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - BRIG (OPTICAL)
Silik, Archer and the soldiers enter. - Archer is locked in
one in a cell which is safeguarded by a force field. The cell
is empty. No bed, no chair, no table. Nothing.
SILIK
I hope this isn't too
uncomfortable, John.
ARCHER
I guess it has to suffice.
SILIK
If you'd excuse me now, John. -
I'll go and catch up new
orders, what to do with you.
Silik leaves.
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The earth vessel is still drifting through space.
INT. ENTERPRISE - ENGINEERING
Trip is working together with a lot of other engineers on the
warp core.
T'Pol enters.
T'POL
Mr. Tucker?
Trip stops working and goes to her.
TRIP
When the Suliban attacked us
and hit our nacelle an energy
push came through the Supply
lines and damaged the warp
core. It looks proportionally
bad.
T'POL
How long will it take to fix
the engines?
TRIP
Hard to tell. I would say
about three or four days if we
work all around the clock.
T'Pol nods.
T'POL
Proceed. - In the meantime I
will try to contact the Vulcan
ship. Maybe they can help us.
TRIP
It would be dearer to me, if
they'd stay on their ship,
once they've arrived.
T'POL
It is to the best of Captain
Archer when we have warp power
back as soon as possible,
commander. Perhaps in this
case you should not have pride
conducted you.
For a moment Trip thinks about her words, then nods.
TRIP
You're right.
(goes back to work)
If we want to have Archer
back, we should get this ship
ready as fast as we can.
T'POL
Exactly.
T'Pol leaves.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - TEMPORAL CHAMBER (OPTICAL)
Dimly-lit, filled with labyrinthine technology. The room is
bisected by an archway that creates a rippling BARRIER of
ENERGY. This is a place where people from two different time
frames can briefly coexist; the Suliban come here to meet
with visitors from a distant century. Two men stand on
opposite sides of the barrier. On our side is SILIK; on the
other, we can barely make out the image of a HUMANOID FIGURE.
Both men stand at identical high-tech podiums. As they speak,
their WORDS and IMAGES seem to PRE-ECHO in a strange effect --
we can see and hear things a split-second before they happen.
It's a disquieting and eerie feeling of two worlds slightly
out of phase with each other.
HUMANOID FIGURE
Do you have Archer?
SILIK
Yes.
HUMANOID FIGURE
And the Enterprise?
SILIK
We damaged their warp drive so
the couldn't follow us here.
HUMANOID FIGURE
You didn't destroy them?
SILIK
As you told me.
HUMANOID FIGURE
Good. - Enterprise is
essential for history.
SILIK
What about Archer? What shall
we do with him?
HUMANOID FIGURE
Interrogate him. - Find out
everything he knows.
SILIK
About what?
HUMANOID FIGURE
Everything.
The figure vanishes... and a moment later, so does the
barrier of energy. OFF Silik...
CUT TO:
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - BRIG (OPTICAL)
Archer is still in one of the cells. Two Suliban soldiers are
guarding him. - Archer walks up and down in his cell.
In this moment, Silik enters and goes to the guards, pointing
at Archer.
SILIK
Bring him to the interrogation
room.
The soldiers go to the cell and lower the force field. One of
the soldiers goes in and grabs Archer's arm.
SOLDIER #1
Come with me!
OFF Archer suspecting the worst...
FADE OUT...
END OF ACT TWO
ACT THREE
FADE IN:
EXT. SPACE (OPTICAL)
Enterprise is still drifting while a Vulcan ship is closing.
T'POL (V.O.)
Enterprise Starlog, Sub
commander T'Pol. March 11th,
2152. - The Vulcan ship has
finally arrived Enterprise.
Vulcan engineers are preparing
to come aboard Enterprise to
help Commander Tucker and his
staff to repair the badly
damaged warp drive.
INT. ENTERPRISE - ENGINEERING
While Trip and his staff are still working the warp core,
T'Pol enters engineering together with a team of seven Vulcan
engineers.
T'POL
(points)
This is commander Charles
Tucker III. Our chief
engineer.
TRIP
(stops working and turns
to T'Pol and the Vulcans)
Welcome aboard.
VULCAN ENGINEER #1
I suggest that we do not waste
no time with unnecessary set
phrases, commander. Let us
begin.
TRIP
Alright.
(turns back to the warp
core; to the Vulcans)
As you'll see we already have
started the repairs. The
matter antimatter...
VULCAN ENGINEER #1
(interrupts)
I think we will find that out,
commander. You should take
some rest while we repair your
ship.
TRIP
(angry)
What the hell is that...
T'POL
(interrupts Trip)
Maybe a break would be good
for all of you.
TRIP
(angry)
Do you think I'd let these
Pomeranian ears here screwing
at my drive without
supervision?
T'POL
Your reaction proofs that you
need rest, commander.
TRIP
I...
T'POL
(interrupts again)
That is an order, commander.
Trip wants to answer something, but T'Pol is faster.
T'POL (CONT'D)
I will supervise their work.
TRIP
(ironic)
That makes things a lot
better.
(to his engineers)
Okay, guys. Someone who
doesn't think we're able to
handle this by our own thinks
we need some rest.
As the engineers do not move T'Pol decides giving a little
stress to Trip's words:
T'POL
(to the engineers)
You heard him. Leave your
stations and get some rest!
Reluctantly Trip and his engineers drop down their work and
leave.
T'Pol goes to one of the Vulcan engineers.
T'POL (CONT'D)
How long will your repairs
last approximately?
VULCAN ENGINEER #1
(working)
About 24 hours.
T'Pol nods and wants to leave but the Vulcan engineer stops
her, adding:
VULCAN ENGINEER #1 (CONT'D)
(working)
Your human engineers did good
work.
OFF T'Pol...
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. SULIBAN HELIX (OPTICAL)
We use this as an establishing shot.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - INTERROGATION ROOM
Archer is restrained in an elaborate chair. Two SULIBAN
DOCTORS monitor sinister-looking tubes and devices that are
connected to the human's body. Source light from an offcamera
window bathes the scene in a steely BLUE GLOW. Silik is
questioning Archer. It's clear that Archer has been drugged
but is still fighting them.
SILIK
One more time, John: What do
you know about the Tandarans?
ARCHER
(fighting the drugs)
They're not very kind. - But
kinder than you.
SILIK
Wrong answer!
Silik quizzes and beats Archer - with the fist - into his
face.
ARCHER
You know this is not very good
for my memory?
Silik quizzes and beats Archer again.
SILIK
You shouldn't screw this up,
John.
(resuming interrogation)
What kind of weapon systems do
the Vulcans dispose?
ARCHER
(fighting the drugs;
laughing)
As if they would tell this to
me.
Silik beats Archer again into the face.
SILIK
This can be painful or not,
that's up to you, captain.
ARCHER
(angry; shouts)
What do you want??? You want
me to lie you? I know nothing
about Vulcan technology!!!
SILIK
Then tell me about the
Tandarans!
ARCHER
(fighting the drugs)
The last one interrogating me
didn't hit me.
SILIK
(angry)
WRONG ANSWER!
Silik hits the captain again.
OFF Archer's hurt distorted face...
CUT TO:
INT. ENTERPRISE - SICKBAY
Phlox is scanning Trip who is sitting on one of the biobeds.
Midscene.
TRIP
Troubles sleeping.
PHLOX
(loading the scan data
into the computer;
looking them through)
You're fine, commander. Seen
medical there aren't any
problems.
TRIP
Good to hear. But I doubt this
will make me sleep any better.
PHLOX
Well, I'm not a psychologist,
but I would say you suffer
from stress, commander.
TRIP
It's not stress, Doc. It's the
Vulcan engineers down in
engineering.
PHLOX
As far as I know they're doing
an excellent job.
TRIP
Yeah. But it's my job, not
their's.
PHLOX
Vulcans are fundamentally more
resilient than humans. They're
able to work about 14 days
without a break. I think under
the given circumstances you
should be glad they lend you a
hand.
TRIP
Lending you a hand and do all
your work are two different
things, Doc.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
Hoshi, Reed and Mayweather at their stations.
Hoshi takes out her earphone and throws it on her console.
HOSHI
Damn!
MAYWEATHER

Together with the Vulcan ship
we are currently tracking one
of the Suliban ships, which
damaged Enterprise two days

us directly to where Captain
Archer is held hostage.

Reed does as he's told.

Reed knows what she means. When Enterprise met the Suliban
for the first time, they were hiding in a class 7 gas giant.

INT. SULIBAN HELIX - INTERROGATION ROOM

If you target directly between
the nacelles you'll be able to
damage Enterprise even if the
hull plating is polarized.
A Suliban soldier enters hastily.

Our ship is flying on impulse, closing the gas giant. The
Vulcan ship is still with the Enterprise.

Lay in a 60 degree vector.
MAYWEATHER

He pushes some buttons at his console.
T'POL
Take us in.
EXT. SPACE - GAS GIANT (OPTICAL)
while the Enterprise and the Vulcan ship are entering the
giant.

About 50 cell ships loose themselves from the helix.

Trip stands up from his console and leaves the bridge in the

Lt. Reed get a lock on these
Suliban ships.
OFF Reed targeting the enemy's ships...

Torpedoes are slid into the two tubes by two robot arms.

Ensign, can you locate a
helix?
Hoshi starts some quick scans.
HOSHI
There's an object at two forty
one point one three mark
seven.
T'POL
Put it on the screen.
On the view screen the object appears. It's a helix.
T'POL (CONT'D)
Do you detect human life
signs?
HOSHI
(checking her sensors)
I can't say if there's a human
aboard the helix. But there's
one non-Suliban life sign.
T'POL
Then that helix is where we
have to go.
A sudden JOLT!
REED
(alert)
The Suliban ships have opened
fire!
BOOM! We're hit again!
T'POL
Ensign Mayweather evasive
maneuver. - Mr. Reed, return
fire!
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The Enterprise and the Vulcan ship return the fire of the
Suliban cell ships, destroying three of them.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
as before. The ship jolts again!
TRIP
(comm voice)
We've lost a secondary impulse
reactor!
T'POL
(to comm)
Understood.
Another HIT!
REED
Forward hull plating down to
43 percent.
T'POL
Fire torpedoes!

Reed presses some buttons and...
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
Enterprise fires torpedoes at the Suliban ships. Most of them
make way for the torpedoes. Some others are hit and explode.
The Enterprise and the Vulcan ship force their ways through
the cell ships, approaching the helix.
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. SULIBAN HELIX (OPTICAL)
Fifty more cell ships loose themselves from the helix and
approach the Enterprise and the Vulcan ship, firing their
weapons at them.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE
as before.
The ship JOLTS heavily!
REED
Forward plaiting's down!!!
T'POL
Then repolarize it.
(to Mayweather)
Ensign Mayweather, turn the
ship around. Bring 10000
kilometers of distance between
us and the helix until the
hull plaiting is repolarized.

while the ship turns around and leaves the helix behind her.
Suliban cell ships follow her firing their weapons.

Mr. Reed, get the aft torpedo
bank ready.

return the Suliban's fire!

Several torpedoes are slid into the aft tube by a robot arm.

Archer is pushed by two guards into his cell. One of the
guards re-activates the force field.
Archer caves in exhausted.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE

REED
Hull plating is repolarized!
T'POL
Ensign Mayweather, set a
course back to the helix.
MAYWEATHER
With pleasure.
T'POL
Mr. Reed, fire all weapons at
will!
Reed slimes, happy to do what he loves most.
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
Our ship turn around and flies back to the helix. On her way
Enterprise fires at the Suliban cell ships with all her
weapons.
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. VULCAN SHIP (OPTICAL)
The Suliban have achieved a great victory. They've destroyed
over the half of the Vulcan ship.
INT. ENTERPRISE - BRIDGE (OPTICAL)
as before. The ship JOLTS over and over again.
The comm beeps one more time.
HOSHI
We were being hailed. - It's
the Vulcans.
T'POL
Tell them we are busy.
HOSHI
They're feeling moved on our
screen.
T'Pel appears on the view screen.
T'PEL (ON SCREEN)
Sorry to disturb you, Sub
commander, but what I have to
tell you is important.
T'POL
Go ahead.
T'PEL (ON SCREEN)
My ship is seriously damaged.
If we do not fall back the
Suliban will destroy...
T'Pel suddenly disappears from the view screen, now showing
the interior of the gas giant again, because...

The Suliban destroyed the
Vulcan ship!

Get us to the helix, ensign!

Have an armed security team
stand ready in the transporter
room and you follow them.

Reed stands up and leaves the bridge.

INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
Our starship approaches the Suliban helix firing at the
Suliban cell ships attacking Enterprise.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - CORRIDOR (OPTICAL)
Reed materializes in the corridor, together with four
security guards. They are all armed with phase pistols and
plasma rifles. Reed removes a hand-held scanner from his belt
and starts working it.
REED
(nodding a direction)
This way.
Reed leads and the away team follows.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - BRIG (OPTICAL)
Archer is in his cell behind the force field. Two Suliban
soldiers are guarding him.
The doors explode open and Reed and his team enter firing at
the two Suliban with the phase pistols to stun them. Once
they're stunned Reed goes to the force field controls and
tries to de-activate the energy barrier impeding Archer to
leave his cell.
Archer comes to the force field.
ARCHER
(to Reed)
I'm so glad to the a friendly
face, Malcolm.
REED
This friendly face will be
looking much more friendly
once I got you out of there.
(pushes some buttons; the
field stays active)
Damn.
(tries some other button
combinations; the force
field stays on-line)
Okay. - Then on the hard tour!
(pulls out his pistol and
shoots at the control
panel; the force field
collapses.)
Knew it'd work.
Archer comes out.
ARCHER
(knocks Reed on the
shoulder)
Good work, Malcolm.
One of the security officers hands Archer his phase pistol.
Archer takes it.
SECURITY OFFICER #1
It#s set to stun.
ARCHER
I hope so.

Let's go.
Archer leads Reed and the away team to the now-broken door
into the corridor.
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. SULIBAN HELIX (OPTICAL)
The Enterprise is no targeting the helix and shoots at it
with phase canons.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - COMMAND CENTER
Suliban soldiers are distributed to the different control
stations.
Silik sits in a great command chair in the center of the room
watching everything attentively.
A MILD JOLT when the helix is hit by one of the Enterprise's
phase canon beams.
Suddenly we HERE an alert!
SULIBAN SOLDIER #1
The prisoner has broken out!
Another JOLT, harder this time.
SULIBAN SOLDIER #2
This hit damaged our
communication system. We've
lost contact to the lower
sections.
SULIBAN SOLDIER #1
We should destroy Enterprise.
SILIK
(strong)
No! Destroy their weapon
systems but let the ship
itself in one piece!
Then Silik stands up and goes to the door. On the way:
SILIK (CONT'D)
(to four other soldiers)
Follow me!
The five Suliban leave the command center.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - CORRIDOR (OPTICAL)
Archer, Reed and the away team are running to the
transporting coordinates.
ARCHER
(to Reed)
Where?
REED
Just around the next bend.
A disruptor beam hits one of the security guards. The officer
breaks down. Dead.
The rest of the team looks for cover, finds it behind the
bend.
SILIK (O.C.)
(shouts)
STOP!
Archer looks around the corner and fires his phase pistol.
ARCHER
(to Reed; quietly)
Mr. Reed?
REED
We're almost in position.
In this moment Silik and the four Suliban soldiers come
around the corner firing at the starfleet team.
One more officer is hit and dies.
Archer and Reed return fire stunning two of the five Suliban.
Now the two others. Now the only Suliban left is Silik. He
points his weapon at Archer.
SILIK
It's set to kill, John. - You
should order your officers and
your ship to cease fire.
Reed gets his Communicator out unobtrusively. He Opens it.
ARCHER
And if I don't?
SILIK
In that case you're about to
die here and now, John.
REED
(shouts to his
communicator)
Energize!
Archer, Reed and the team are included by the transporter
beam and de-materialize.
Silik fires his weapon hitting nothing.
SILIK
(angry; shouts)
FUCK!!!
CUT TO:
INT. ENTERPRISE - TRANSPORTER ROOM (OPTICAL)
Archer, Reed and the two other survivors of the away team re
materialize on the platform.
Archer immediately jumps of the platform running to the
intercom:
ARCHER
Archer to the bridge! - Get us
out of here, NOW!
INT. GAS GIANT/EXT. ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
The Enterprise - still under heavy fire by the Suliban cell
ships - changes course to leave the gas giant.
INT. SULIBAN HELIX - CORRIDOR
Silik's still standing where he stood when Archer, Reed and
the away team de-materialized.
SULIBAN SOLDIER #2
(comm voice)
Enterprise tries to escape.
Shall we stop her?
SILIK
(beaten)
No. - Let them go. This time
they're the winners.
EXT. SPACE - GAS GIANT (OPTICAL)
The Enterprise comes out of the gas giant and goes to warp.
Our ship's not followed by the Suliban.
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
at warp.
ARCHER (V.O.)
Enterprise starlog, Captain
Jonathan Archer. March 15,
2152. It's been two days since
we escaped from the Suliban's
gas giant. Since then we
didn't run into any of their
ships or helixes.
INT. ENTERPRISE - ARCHERS CABIN (OPTICAL)
He's wearing a dark tee-shirt and pair of pants. WARP STARS
streak by outside the window. The Captain caresses his dog
Porthos.
The door sensor cheeps.
ARCHER
Come in.
T'Pol enters handing Archer a padd.
T'POL
The status report you asked
for, captain.
Archer accepts the padd, overflies it.
ARCHER
Looks not bad. Thank you,
T'Pol.
T'Pol nods and is about to leave but Archer stops her right
before the doors open.
ARCHER (CONT'D)
T'Pol.
T'Pol turns around to Archer.
ARCHER (CONT'D)
I was asking myself...
T'POL
Yes?
ARCHER
Did Hoshi give Porthos any
cheese?
T'Pol pulls up an eyebrow.
T'POL
Maybe this is a question you
should better ask Ensign Sato.
T'Pol turns around again and finally leaves the captain's
quarters.
Archer stands up and goes to the windows looking out of them
to the warp stars.
EXT. SPACE - ENTERPRISE (OPTICAL)
Our ship flies away from the camera. OFF this we
FADE OUT.
