Dear Sir/Madam,

We would like to congratulate you on buying your new flat and take this opportunity of introducing our Company as the Plumbing and Heating Engineers who have carried out the entire plumbing and central heating works on this development.

No doubt you are aware that "Walton" built homes are of the highest quality, bearing this in mind our Company pays special attention to the design of the installations and uses only top quality materials.

Your central heating system is of the sealed type which means you do not have an expansion tank. The expansion is taken up by an expansion vessel. This type of system does not suffer from water loss which is common with the open systems (expansion tank} and therefore is less likely to corrosion. After letting out the air from a radiator you will need to top the system up, this is done by slightly opening the top up valve in the airing cupboard.

You will notice there is a pressure gauge in the airing cupboard. The pointer on the gauge will move when you top up the heating. This pointer must never be above one and a half. Always turn off the programmer before letting air out of the radiators or topping up the heating. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us. We enclose our name tag and suggest you stick it behind the plastic slide panel on the front of your boiler.

Naturally, your heating system is guaranteed for 12 months from the date you purchased your flat; We are anxious to ensure that any problems are rectified quickly and therefore suggest you contact us direct if you require assistance.

The stop cocks for the hot and cold services are situated in the airing cupboard. The incoming mains stop cock is situated in the service duct in the Common Hall areas.

Yours faithfully,
