A talented drummer who attended Washington's Whitworth College on a jazz performance scholarship, Trevor St. John still enjoys playing percussion. But a drum set isn't exactly portable -- or convenient for living and working in the small spaces of the Big Apple. So the actor has found another instrument he can take with him to play during downtime at the One Life to Live studio: "I just bought an instrument called a cajon," he says of the small, drum-like device. "I've been playing on that in my dressing room, and I've been playing with Renee Elise Goldsberry (Evangeline), who is a great singer, and Dan Gauthier's (Kevin) wife, Lisa, who is also a fabulous singer and songwriter. I just wanted something I could play at the drop of a hat instead of having to go and play an actual drum set."

While jazz is his first musical love, St. John doesn't limit himself to that when he's banging away. "I play and enjoy all kinds of music, actually," he admits. "Anything with a groove."
