Since inheriting the role of Todd, Trevor St. John has mastered the core of the tortured Lord heir while infusing him with his own depth and soul. But what the actor is most proud of might not be what springs to most fans' minds. "I really like the fight scene that Dan Gauthier (Kevin) and I had," the actor enthuses. "We wanted to make it look very realistic."
But realistic to St. John meant true to life, that is, not well choreographed. "People are awful at fighting, but when you watch movies, people have these big, long punches that would never happen in real life," St. John notes. "Especially two wimps like Todd Manning and Kevin Buchanan. They would be terrible." So how do you have a realistic fight between nonfighters? You call in help! "We really worked hard on it with a great stuntman. We said, 'How can you make us look terrible and still fight?' " St. John recalls. "So not a single punch was thrown, and no words were spoken. I thought it was a terrific scene."
